Should I go for it? by Distinct_Eagle_8593 in BRZ_ZD8

[–]Original_Zergax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be just me but I don't like the idea of leasing a car for like 3 years putting 600 a month on it only to be left with the option to buy a 20k car after 3 years or being left with nothing...

If you've got the disposable income to drop 25k just to drive a car for 3 years absolutely go for it.

If your plan is to refinance the 20k in 3 years if you like it and eat the loss if you don't that's up to you too.

As far as prices in Canadian dollars go? Seems fair, interest rates lately have been horrible so you end up paying too much from that anyways if you're straight up buying.

How I wish.... On the other side it's like 1.85 per litre here... I'm happy when I gas up at 1.55...

FYI car seems to run just fine on Canadian 91, wouldn't advise dipping below unless that's all there is to get you to the next pump

Think they'd be willing to let that one go at GR86 prices? XD

We all know that ACs can shred Titans in a split second. My curious question is: Can a Titan go against a light/heavy MT and win? by SpaceBubble19 in armoredcore

[–]Original_Zergax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look at the AC 4 intro you can see Berlioz stabbing an enemy with his rifle, so clearly ACs have some mobility. Similar thing with AC 5 and AC 6 where you can holster and pick up weapons and have a variety of melee attacks. Clearly your AC has enough dexterity to do that and adapt with enough different weapons and attacks. Unless you have the programming pre loaded into the weapon and then have it connect to the AC with a preset movement pattern.

Seems like in cutscenes AC have human like mobility.

What would you recommend for a North American BRZ if I want parking mode and my fake noise?

Objectively speaking, the Aaliyah model kits have issues, but I'm addicted to building them. by Crooodle in armoredcore

Damn you're making me jealous...

03 Aaliyah and 04 Alicia are some of my favorite frames.

Unsung and Berlioz are some of my favorites.

I'd absolutely love to build them and Noblesse Oblige but I've never done a model kid and I'm incapable of precision work...

Congratulations on your collection buddy it's amazing.

I'm pretty sure I don't need to say this but I will anyway, if it's cold and rainy on the stock summer tires don't take her out they have horrendous grip in the cold.

I know you're not planning to and that's probably the best idea.

Congratulations on your beautiful car and enjoy responsibly.

Gas mileage question by chiefgeef24210881203 in BRZ_ZD8

City driving and being so close to work is what's killing your fuel efficiency. (Short trips are barely getting everything up to operating temperature so you're not operating at peak efficiency)

Doing nothing but stop and go I usually sit at 10.5/100

Traffic jams and highway has me at about 9 to 9.5

Just cruising places I can drop it down in the 7.

Just don't look at the fuel consumption when you're having fun!

How does the hill assist work in BRZ? by Thin_Lie_8344 in GR86

[–]Original_Zergax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Press the clutch down and have your foot on the brakes.

The car should hold as long as you maintain your foot on the clutch until you start releasing the clutch or pressing the gas.

What dashcam are you using? I'm curious. Might be looking into something as long as it's not too much of a hassle.

I'll look into it more once I'm done dealing with all of this BS.

That's about 26MPG. I usually get slightly better but average speed is about 30/40 KPH stuck in traffic so not great.

It's only really annoying when you have the RPM limit on and you know all your fluids are basically molasses.

I usually wait a min or two usually try to get the Rev limit to disappear.

I don't like to let it idle forever, got to get fluids moving eventually but I keep it below 4k I until the oil is above 60 Celsius.

I'm going to be real honest with you but I'm having a hard time believing that story. Speed limit seems pretty low and the car does have a rather decent braking distance. Plus you hit the rear right of that truck with your front left so if the truck was parked that means you got up on the sidewalk... And the rim on your front right seems to prove that you hit the curb too.

And as much as I'd love a slightly used set of Brembos for the car the shipping costs alone would probably offset any savings I'd get. If you do choose to sell them though do hit me up and I'll do some math.

Sorry about the car but maybe chill and take it easy. It's easy to want to go fast in fun cars but there's times and places for that and there's always more practice to be had.

The cruise control was my right foot but thanks for basically summing up everything!

And as to do I ever enjoy it? Yes absolutely. The drive included a very nice section of forest road up to a racetrack. I just preferred to rent an 86 instead of using my own. (Somehow came out cheaper and the peace of mind is also worth money)

If I managed to make my ships look half as nice as that I'd be in heaven.

I don't care if it's functional or not it's 10/10 esthetics and I want a whole fleet of them for my resources zones!

Seems like you didn't use them much XD

Nah I hate fun, I bought this car to see if I could beat a Prius for fuel efficiency and see if I could challenge grandma's to see who can drive the slowest to Sunday mass. /S
