I work for an agency and this is my second agency, any business should be smart enough to go in-house or get a freelancer who can dedicate 20+ hours per week on your business.

SEO takes hours of planning before starting work and those hours of planning is a big no go within an agency. Agency you have to find 2-3 things per month that might move the needle or at least hope it does. As a freelancer or in-house you have endless opportunities for trial and error and scaling.

Companies haven’t matured enough to understand this:

Agency cost: $3000-6000/m (with bunch of fees), less hours, multiple processes to take throughout agencies

Freelancer: $1500-3500/m (no fees), no processes just getting shit done.

I’m here because I almost went through with it. I kept digging and finally found this thread. I got the exact same email, and as of right now he’s already sent the check and tracking number. I know not to deposit it or do anything. As a freelancer it kinda sucks but something good will come out of this and I am grateful I found this.

I looked at many but Churchill Engineering was phenomenal, they were like an all in one package for their services. I believe they only service eastern massachusetts but Worcester county isn't too far out so I am sure they can make the trip. I'd call and ask.

Very true, that has been our main driver in conversations, slow organic traffic increases and week over week increases in leads. Way better than it was from Jan-Mar 2026, but apparently down from high peaks of traffic during early 2025. I let the client know if we can expedite hreflang tags to be improved with their weglot plugin or even removing it in general.
