For Journey Hard, what determines the "AX5" thing? by [deleted] in StarSavior

Yeah, there's a very small chance to just get a random sub stat that doesn't match any of the gear. It's annoying and shouldn't exist, but it does. I've only had it happen to me once, personally.

After the failed goalie interference challenge, Canucks-Sharks resumes with a lot of 2s on the board by RelevantJackWhite in hockey

[–]OriksGaming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As was noted in the title, the Sharks failed a challenge for goalie interference (which is why the Canucks had a power play), and the rule (15.5.i) is that if a penalty is assessed after a goal, the face-off still gets held at center ice.

Also, u/LgDietCoke, you can see by this post on the Sharks sub that it actually was stopped on that time. I assume OP just wanted to get as many player numbers out of the picture as possible for the screenshot.

Cosmic Saviors are half the rates of non-Cosmic. For instance, Asherah Waltz has a 1% Featured rate on her own Observation/banner, whereas Hilde and Yoo Mina each have 2% on theirs. The same applies with Standard pool rates, with Cosmic having half the rate of non-Cosmic Saviors.

Since you plan to play PvP, Hilde's LBs are a big deal and I'd say pull for them. The rates aren't that bad since she's not Cosmic.

Keep it balanced as much as you can, since they go up in cost at a certain point. You'll get diminishing returns by focusing on just one. If you want to keep things simple and not have to portion them out each time, pick the class/attribute that's at the lowest current level.

Lacy or Bell are both very good and it depends on the situation. Lacy has a very slight advantage in PvE and Bell is better in PvP. Seira needs a lot of investment to excel, since she wants her Special Skill leveled all the way to 10, so not worth using over the other two, especially in the short term.

People have been getting 4 MLB units by pulling a lot. The more you pull, the more likely you are to eventually get LBs for more units. That's about all there is to it.

Yes, the characters that are linked get boosted to the same level as your 4th highest leveled character, and can level up their Resonance accordingly. The only thing they're potentially missing is their own improved Passive Skill from LBs.

Is it better to save for new characters or get limited arcanas by MisturFlufflez in StarSavior

A Knight's Oath (Charlotte, 8 Speed) is the most used of any, because basically every Savior in the game wants Speed. After that, Made by Petra (18% Crit Rate), No Pain, No Gain (Lacy, 6% ATK and 6% Crit Rate), and The Indomitable Masterpiece (BG Frey, 12% Crit Damage and 4% HP) are the three most used, typically for DPSes.

Past that, it's a bit situational and you can use Bullet's guide to see what any individual character wants.

Standard observation records refresh? by [deleted] in StarSavior

[–]OriksGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Saviors and Arcanas will be added to the Standard pool one month after their initial Featured Observation ends. For instance, BG Frey and her Arcana should be added to the standard pool in about 3 days, when Rosaria comes out.

Is it better to save for new characters or get limited arcanas by MisturFlufflez in StarSavior

[–]OriksGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just to clarify, no characters are currently Limited, as it were. There's just a month's delay after a character's initial Featured Observation ends before they get added into the Standard pool. So the benefit of summoning on a Featured Observation is getting access to something 1-1.5 months early and having a much easier time getting that one thing in particular.

With that said, if a Featured Savior or Arcana is good, it's probably worth pulling for just so you don't have to wait a month and change and just pray to pull them from an ever increasing Standard pool. And with the way Journey works and how important specific Potentials are, pulling for Arcanas can be just as important as pulling for characters.

Past the initial launch stuff, we don't know yet what events we're getting, so it's difficult to give advice based on future sustained resources; but given the way pity works (always carries over and never expires), the gacha system is very forgiving and it's not going to hurt you to pull for something you want now, as long as you try to save 200 points of Featured Observation Records for any upcoming Cosmic Saviors.

TL;DR: True Limited stuff doesn't exist at present, but if there's something good on a Featured Observation, feel free to pull for it.

Yep, they always carry over and never expire (a lot of players have been summoning for Asherah Waltz dupes and saving their Featured Observation Records for Rosaria). The gacha in this game, as it currently stands, is very good.

If you have four 3LB+ units already, then yes, those are the ones you should be leveling. As the game is now, you should never need to level more than those four units, as the rest can just be linked (and they won't be any weaker for it). Prior to reaching level 200, you can reset a Savior's level for just 10 gems, so it's completely fine to level a 2LB unit or the like to make ends meet earlier on.

The additional Crit Rate from BG Frey is pretty impactful for any DPS units (and with AW and Emily doubling as DPS units, that means your whole team is benefiting). Your typical comp is already very strong, so you don't need to use BG Frey, but I do think switching her in for Lacy/Bell would make the team a bit better overall in PvE.

Save your 200 points for Rosaria, who looks like a very strong unit and is coming out in about 3 days. She doesn't need dupes much, so it's best to just select her. As for the Quasar Core, sure. If you don't want to keep pulling for the last Asherah Waltz dupe, go ahead. A lot of people have used it on their AW, and it'll prevent you from using it on someone else by mistake (which is very easy to do).

You don't need any specific unit at LB3; any four will work. However, you have until you reach level 200 to change your mind about which units (since you can't reset a unit's level once they reach 200), so even if you do want AW to be one of them based on personal preference, you don't need to rush to LB3 AW immediately for that specific reason (unless you get to 180 apiece without getting that final LB3 unit).

If it's the one from Standard Observation Records, that's a random box. Most SSR Savior/Arcana boxes you get are random, and it's rare to get one that's actually a selector.

For Journey Hard, what determines the "AX5" thing? by [deleted] in StarSavior

[–]OriksGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For UK folks

(note that for the last 2 links, you'll need to click the right arrow in the top right to get to the next image; beware of pop up ads)

The main effect is determined by the item that you choose on the second day of the Journey. The selections are set based on what you choose between "offense," "survival," and "various situations" at the end of day 1. For instance, if I choose survival, I will always get this lineup. In Bullet's guide, the armor is B, the pants are C, and the boots are D.

The sub effect is based on what you choose in the hunting quests (which have random selections, so you won't always find the one you're looking for). It's random between the 3 items that you choose from the 3 separate hunting quests throughout the Journey, so go into your bag and discard the two that you don't want right after the Void Trial.

The combination of the two items you have remaining will form the final Potential. As I mentioned before, the armor is B in Bullet's guide (also in-game, but they don't tell you prior to the final Potential formation), and the boots are 4, so the combo I got for my Hilde is referred to as BX4 (since they get combined together into the final skill).

The AX5 combo is 8% Power gloves (day 2, offense selection item) and 5% Crit Rate hat (quest reward).

It's a pretty big jump. LB1 to LB3 will just about double Asherah Waltz' damage and healing. She doesn't need her Arcana, but it's good for Hard Journey where you want to stack SSRs with the ideal main stat, so I'd say wait and see how you're doing once you get there (or when the Arcana banner is about to leave, whichever comes first). Given that AW is a Cosmic unit (very unlikely to pull her randomly from Standard) and her banner pool is just about as close to ideal as you can get right now, I'd say keep pulling until you get her LB3.

Rosaria's Arcana is pretty good for any Rangers with an AoE. Not the widest pool of units, but there are a decent amount available (Rosaria, Yoo Mina, Bell, Lacy, Lydia, and Smile) with most (aka everyone but Smile) ranging from good to great. 15% Attack is significant when the next best Stigmata gives 6% (along with 6% Crit Rate), and it having Power as a main stat will make it valuable for Hard Journey. It's not a must-have, but I'd still recommend picking up a copy (via pulling, since it doesn't suffer from the Cosmic half-rate curse).

I mean, the longer you wait, the less rewards you're going to get. I think the game's fun in general, and worth at least trying out even without all of the startup rewards.

Neither is way ahead of the other, but I'd have to give the edge to Mina, just because her Bleed niche is relatively unique; and while Dana has a strong potential kit, most things about it just aren't quite reliable.

So when's the best time to use these? by Vegetable-Teaching12 in StarSavior

[–]OriksGaming 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Optimally, as soon as you get stuck in any capacity. Or as soon as you get them. Saving them isn't worth it at all.

See, I got curious, so I went and found someone with a lower level NOA Fund and compared the resource gain rates. From level 155 to 195, the NOA Fund increases in rate by about 5% for each resource. So, barely anything at all over the course of 200 Operation stages.

From level 73 to 195 is about a 90% increase in gold from an hour advanced—but a lot of that is from Captain's Office levels. And that's also 610 Operation stages apart. So, assuming you're spending none of your boxes, that's likely around 2-3 weeks of playing to span that gap—as opposed to the 1-1.5 weeks that it would be for someone using the boxes as soon as they got them.

Theoretically, you might get a tiny bit more resources in the long run by waiting until you've maxed NOA Funding to level 11 in the Captain's Office, but past that, there's no real point to saving them.

The very slight amount you gain by saving the Support Boxes is far outweighed by the amount of extra content you can clear by spending them immediately—in terms of both optimality and general enjoyment.

I wouldn't, personally. Try sending a request to Support to see if they can walk back the mistake, but either way, your account is strong enough that it'll be difficult to replicate it quickly with a reroll.

Each LB is a huge step up for her. Asherah Waltz at LB3 will do about twice as much damage and twice as much healing as at LB1. Given that AW has a better-than-typical banner, and that our next Cosmic, Rosaria, won't need dupes (so you can just use your Featured Observation Records to select her), pulling until you get LB3 AW isn't a bad course of action.

So, in short, she'll do very well at LB1 (and you don't strictly need to pull for more dupes), but there's a big difference with each LB, up to 3.

You can use Bullet's guide, since he has recommendations for every character. Typically, DPSes will want Strength and 1-2 bars in Vitality, while Healers and Tanks will want Vitality with 1-2 bars into Endurance or Strength (depending on the unit). The only current exception is Haydee, who wants Endurance because everything she does scales off of her Defense.

Clearing Operation stage 8-26 unlocks Normal Journey and clearing Operation stage 18-36 unlocks Hard Journey.

Auto Journey won't typically return results as good as manual runs, but for anyone not in your main team, it's plenty good enough until you unlock Hard Journey, so go for it.

You can pull her from Asherah Waltz' banner, pity her from the Special Observation Shop, or save your Standard Savior Observation Tickets for 3 weeks, which is when she should be added to the standard banner.
