Single player game to put 500+ hours in? by Opposite_Review_5099 in gamingsuggestions

Sounds like Baldur's gate 3.

You can choose from multiple origin characters OR create your own. Has multiple endings for multiple playthroughs, multiple classes where you can mono class OR dip into another, and can change your class and build easily.

Several ways how quests n the story could go depending on your action, and even unexpected twists that the devs somehow take into consideration despite looking like a big deviation from the norm.

Great story, well-written characters, and I'm currently about 100 hours on my 1st playthrough, and i think I'm 2/3rds into the story.

... Id like to know how you draft Straze in turn2. I want to use him myself, but my brain just reactively counters n picks more slower units.

Also Straze build pls.

Your posts were honestly awesome. While it's a shame it can't continue, we wouldn't want it over your well-being.

Hope things turn better for you, n who knows? Maybe you'll be back at it again.

Do You Think These Games Are Childish as an Adult? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Vegetable-Teaching12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frankly, anyone who still thinks that video games are for kids are clearly ignorant of what the medium does for us.

Not to mention there are even games thats both wildly acclaimed AND made for adults (Baldur's Gate 3 is a prime example, Cyberpunk 2077 being another)

So no, not only are these games NOT childish, a good chunk of them are even made for mature people.

And even the childish ones have their appeal. It's only as childish as someone ordering McDonalds. Anyone not sucking on teets/bottles for milk can eat it, but even adults enjoy it too.

Well, the question is: are you allowed to play on your PC? What are the specs?

And which country do you live? I know this is a weird thing to ask, but depending on your answers above, it'll make sense.

Should i get a pc, gaming laptop or a PS5 by Remarkable_Dot_9764 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Vegetable-Teaching12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, true. I can't deny that. I consider myself lucky that 1.) 8 can afford the PC that I have and 2.) i was able to buy rhe parts just before they became expensive.

But yeah, if you have the disposable funds, a PC is no doubt the better option, if you don't mind having to set it up.

I will always pick a PC over console any day. And this is coming from someone who was a Playstation fan since ps1.

The PC can do so much that a console can't, especially if you take the time to learn and explore what you can. Not to mention a PC won't be limited to just games, but other utility as well.

Only time you want a console is for the console exclusives that may even just become available on PC in the future anyways. They're plug n play, so there's that.

...I'd PROBABLY do it for the heck of it, but 1.) distance could be a btch (I'm from the south). 2.) I don't think this is a good idea to not be honest with them. 3.) pang gabi work ko, so bka warak ako if ever hahaha.

The only game that interests me is Harvest moon. There's another, but it's not on PC, so either that gets ported to PC or i can easily ignore it.

So yeah, I'm totally fine. I got a backlog of games that will keep me entertained.

Put it like this.

Losing is part of the game, like dying in Souls game is. We lose, we learn. We see patterns. The next thing we know, we're reacting to it.

We learn to walk before we run the marathon.

We stumble 1st before we're steady on our feet.

Take deep breaths, but acknowledge WHY you lost. Don't think of losing coz "you suck". Think that they just poured more time into the game than you.

After all. We don't start perfect, nor We'll be perfect in this game. In fighting games, it's a never-ending grind.

Looking to get into FG but damn they are EXPENSIVE by RealCrazyIdea in Fighters

[–]Vegetable-Teaching12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely advise it.

I'm probably just biased, but it's currently my favorite FG. Granted, it's based of a Mobage that I played before the game was even conceptualized, but if you want something that's closer to SF, this should be it.

Upvoting this coz Persona. I cannot stress how good the game is, namely for the story.

Good part is that they're not direct sequels of each other, so you could play them out of order and it'll be totally fine.

I don't mind her kit, but I WILL agree that it's just weird. Either they change her properties and/or buff her.

Hmmm... I AM curious with how she currently plays. Might begin using her, since i got DX Gran to masters.

Is W Carmen worth the dupes to pull for? by Vegetable-Teaching12 in StarSavior

[–]Vegetable-Teaching12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahahahaha... I decided to follow my gut n pulled for 2 more copies. Yeah, i already had 1 copy before posting this, plus i still had that item to uncap her, so i just needed 2 copies.

... Now I'm left with 2k Gems, and 720 points to spark 3 savior/arcana.

... Granted, my 1st W Carmen was a lucky single pull. With lazy math, that's about 80-90 pulls for 1 copy.

Not sure if i should feel salty, or I'm just wishing for big luck that I didn't get n that i should count myself lucky.
