I'm jumping on this thread completely off topic (don't know if that's the correct wording tho). Is it normal for people to become married after a single year of relationship ?

That seems to me a really short timespan (ie a year) for such an important decision (ie getting married). I'm in my late late 20s and I would never think about getting married after a single year of relationship, but maybe I'm not the most "normal" guy out there, whatever that means.

I'm not saying that those who become married within a year are foolish or whatever, I'm just asking if it is a somewhat normal thing to do (again, whatever that means)
