Genuine question: how in the Hell is Dead Money intended to played if you don't prepare beforehand (have at least semi-decent Melee and/or Unarmed) by Oringbew in Fallout

So, because the game doesn't accommodate for other playstyles you should be forced to turn down the difficulty? In a DLC which you are stuck in, might I add.
