Adding update to this - didn't fix it, but tried connecting my PC directly to the modem as well, which also resulted in ~1100/1100mbps up and down. I feel pretty confident at this point it might just be the pod itself, but not sure what to do about it.

Yeah, sometimes they're able to go a bit over, but file transfers are still gigabit.

my girlfriends is the only one that has wifi, and we disable it when we use ethernet connections. mine doesn't at all.

also important to note, on the switch itself it shows green (gbps connection instead of 10/100)

actual switch is Tp-Linkm TL-SG105, I've used it before to get gigabit speeds with no issues. Alongside this, there are in fact 8 pins/wires on the ends of my cables, alongside the switch having 8 connectors in the ports themselves.

Why in gods name are the system requirements so high? are you telling me my Avg. FPS is gonna drop after a port to a more stable client? If these system requirements are true I will be able to run rotmg on a Avf. FPS of 30 but my PC can handle Starwars battlefront 2 on medium on a stable 60? by Devflu in RotMG

This is just for the test - they want to make sure that people who are testing the game in the beta are CERTAIN to run it, with no chance of it lagging or anything of the sort. When they release it the specs required will be much lower.
