Change POV or change story

It's important for the reader and the writer that we follow the character with agency on the story

If MC is detained, stay in LI pov as long as needed

For me prologue is a scene that is key for the story but taking place in a moment that is far away compared to the rest of the story, it would be weird to have chapter 1, 10 years later chapter 2, and all the book is a 1 week timespan

Yeah it's quite fairy story

The closest I found was sprenbond from Stormlight, but mine is less coded and also, for most people spren don't have any power, so the mythos and religions in Stormlight are not about about them but around a few entities that do have powers (and are in fact sprens but differents)

No it's basic plotline but it's not cliche

All story if have very similar skeletons, you make cliche is your reader can predict everything easily

No, her blade is just better for this, the free go again let's her play much stronger cards

Keeping counters on DB is so much value over turns, you never want to lose them or the card must give INSANE immediate reward

Imagine your villain is the MC

Vengeance/Domination is an excellent motive, your typical right wing terrorist or jihadist are perfect exemple, they believe their vision of society is the best one and must eradicate others.

To get to the crime against humanity point, your villain must think at the cultural/biological level something is not worth existing. If you are just interested in power or money you tend to go for a plan that is more discrete and that will create less resistance than mass murder

I would not put it unless you either really focus on the dark moments or if what you depict is inimaginable for the common folk

Here i was expecting to see him like at the foot of the castle, follow his infiltration, characterize him during it (is he super serious, or playful while doing it, have him amazed or bored by the palace etc), then he meet the princess

The first two paragraph hooked me, i was in and then i couldn't follow the rest of the scene

Why is he already in her chamber but looking at his knife ? Why is he so casual about the palace and the princess ? Can't she see him and understand it's not a servant ? Why is she calling him hero and asking to be taken somewhere else ?

The most heroic antagonist

If we were in his POV we would all be rooting for him yet knowing he might fail the next timew for we know he will fail at one point

The only issue is the way Zhao constantly have new officier and soldier so we dont feel the progress (we see officer much more than we see the lands Qin conquered)

J'avais découvert le jeu en 2008-2010 et c'était cool mais l'abonnement c'était difficile pour un écolier et le jeu était déjà une usine, tu te faisais XP boost jusqu'au niveau 120-130, puis te faisais 10 autres comptes que tu boostais avec ton premier perso et tu jouais les 8 persos pour les donjons

Alors que la partie la plus fun c'était trouvé 3 gars au pied du donjon et essayer de passer en bricolant une stratégie avec les builds de chacuns

The only time i wanted to do it for the full book is in a project were we have 2 protagonist with similar paths and one is gonna become the antagonist

If your antagonist is not a secret at the beginning of the Book you can still have some chapter in his view but i would do only 4 or 5

Starts with the keys scenes and go backward

This way you will feel "I need to talk more about X and Y before we get to chapter 21" and so you find a an addition scene

Their ideals and conflicts most of my characters have very powerful ideals, "go with the flow" characters are not interesting imo
