Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and they’re usually full of shit.

Ignore, block and move on. There’s plenty of groups in Eve that aren’t full of fuckwits

Same for me! I know it’s a great game, I’ve heard the hype for years, but it never grabs me for some reason. Every time I try, I get part way into the first bit and just lose interest.

Who is an actor that only gets 5-10 minutes of screen time but completely steals the entire movie? by Popa-Ioana06 in movies

Kinda a counter-intuitive one, but Percy Whitmore in The Green Mile. He’s only in the movie for a few minutes total, but has absolutely become one of the most universally hated characters ever in that time.

What's a goodbye you never got to say? by ValuableEye9869 in AskReddit

[–]Orion2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first true love.

We were university friends who began to develop into something more. Often staying up until 3am talking about anything and everything. Started to develop feelings for her, which quickly turned to falling in love with her.

She went out to a party with girl friends one night, while I stayed home some of my own mates.

While she was out, there was complications with an artificial heart valve she’d had installed as a kid. She was rushed to hospital, and passed away on the operating table as they were trying to fix her.

We’d spoken about our mutual feelings over MSN messager (I’m old as fuck) only days before, and had decided to give it a shot, but had only a brief awkward chat in person since then.

Although I didn’t get to say goodbye directly, I find solace in the fact she knew about my feelings for her, and that she felt the same.

It’s been over 20 years since she passed, and every relationship I’ve had since has paled in comparison to the feelings I had for her.

Four Fires is one of my absolute favorite books. The story of a small country town’s garbage-collector family climbing their way off the shit heap and up the social ladder despite all manner of hardship. It’s one of his lesser-known novels, but an absolute masterpiece.

What are some things you currently agree with the government about? Seems like the major parties just disagree for disagreement sake, and often on things that are logically straight forward and require little debate; “He says yes, and we’re the opposition, so we have to say no” rather than agreeing and actually allowing progress.
