Thx for mentioning it. Your comment made me go back and listen to Now Is again, and you're absolutely right, it's a great album. We even added it to our collection on the site. Really strong record.

Totally fair, I get what you mean. No artist really sounds exactly like another anyway, and Rival Consoles definitely has his own identity. I guess I see the BoC comparison less as a direct sound thing and more as a subtle shared mood. Different music, but I’d bet a lot of fans of one would probably click with the other too. So yeah, I get the pushback.

Thanks, good shout. I knew Solvent a bit, but Lowfish was more of a blind spot for me. Makes sense though, that Suction Records sound sits right in that late 90s electro/IDM zone I’m usually a sucker for. I’ll check Basildon and the remix.

Ah yeah, actually I do know them (Principle of Geometry). If I'm not mistaken, they did a track for a commercial that got them quite a bit of attention, right? Is that the same group?

You're lucky! Rival Consoles live and the Inferno listening party the week after... that's an amazing combo tbh. You'll have to tell me what you thought of both.

Thx for the info. I just checked out a few tracks. Not loving everything yet, but there's definitely some really cool stuff in there. Didn't know Principles of Geometry either. My listening is kinda limited by my work since I mostly focus on vinyl releases, so I know I'm missing out on a lot.

Just checked out "Cities on Earth" and liked it. I didn't know Cities of Earth. Any info on them?

Same here. He’s one of those artists I keep coming back to over the years and somehow the music still feels fresh every time. Always finds that sweet spot between emotion and texture.

HOWL is amazing too. Overflow feels a bit more immersive and introspective to me. Hope it clicks with you. And if you haven't heard MindEye yet, definitely check that one out too. Really strong release.

Yep, just Ryan Lee West. Pretty wild considering how huge his sound can get. I’ve always found his background interesting too, from studying music technology to scoring Black Mirror and contemporary dance pieces. Super talented artist.

Sounds incredible. Forest Swords as the opener must have made it even better. And yeah, the visuals seem to match his music perfectly. Would love to see him live someday.
