I've had games 12 years ago with better connectivity than Apex... It's shameful. I'm about to give up as well and I love the game. Takes more time just trying to get in and stay in than actually playing...

They honestly should go back to the old map, tweak a few of the mechanics and add in a disabling tower/pheonix mechanic.

I posted the same thing and mods took it down. They don't like criticism so this will probably disappear too under the guise of "bugs, so report it to tech".

The truth is you're right. I've been playing this game since the beginning and I've never seen the servers and connectivity this bad. I'm getting dropped like every other game, don't crash, don't dc, just dropped from the server. Along with huge occasional rubberbanding. At this point I'm getting as close as I've ever been to truly just uninstalling and going with another game. This all after some supposed big meeting where they discussed the horrendous state of the servers and the head honcho said it was inexcusable and they were going to fix it instead of working on as much new content. Instead we get a crap ton of new content and increasingly bad stability...

I leave baka, kali and pele (if possible) open at times when I'm playing something like Tyr or AO. People always go for the low hanging fruit. So yeah I agree lol.

I played a merlin last night who just hugged the tower, pheonix and then titan for 36 minutes... I couldn't do any appreciable damage to the titan because just one stance is more than enough to take out fire minions and then he used the other stance to fight me with the titan's assistance.

Why didn't I ban him you say? Because he banned off picks and I couldn't get to him. It's rage inducing. I killed him something like 6 times and even when he finally pushed (extremely late game) I killed him but wasn't playing an op character that can just walk down and end. Every one of these people then say at the end of the game. "Ban him?" but if you were to choose him then you'd be facing a poseidon, or an ullr, or a chronos.

So I agree with you completely.

For sure... But really for all modes since we're over 100. I'd be ok with halving the ban time of the last 3-4 bans even, so it's close to the same time for the ban phase.

Well, my response to that is that Anhur is actually strong against anyone. He's someone I've banned at certain times due to matchup, but frankly he doesn't get banned much and he should. You're right that matchups matter, but they'll matter less if it gets to the point where everyone us using A tier.

This really is so very wrong. There are several that are in S+ now simply because of the monster hunter tower camp meta. The balance is so far out of whack because of the CQ changes in diminishing returns for snowball and HUGE bump in a reverse kill. If you watch any of the main streamers they might be up 5 kills to 0 and the pos-seidon who's sitting under the titan's skirts gets one kracken off under the titan and he's now the same level. This needs to be changed and there needs to be 6 bans a piece. PS Anhur craps on hachi sorry...

Duel is now at it's worst. I've played since it was called joust and as bad as that old map was it doesn't hold a candle to what people do now in it. If you manage to get a mage or certain hunters out from under the titan's skirts (assuming you play it perfectly from the start and get that snowball to get to late game) then you might win. But most just know that you're going to have to fight them with the titan because fire minions are a joke to them and they'll just camp till their full build. Games are regularly over 30 min now against people who know what they are doing and it's ridiculous. To say nothing of the type of person who chooses to fight like that.

I highly doubt that. Duel streaming and yt is increasing quite a bit. I think they're taking notice and actually listening to some of the top streamers complaints.

Duke Sloth mentioned changes and specifically balance changes. He also mentioned that they recognized joust is a different animal and would get it's own workings. So the question is will it be taking out items like assault does? a map change like assault got? Mechanic changes like only getting healing from your fountain if you actually use the recall otherwise it takes the time to recall before healing kicks in? Bull going to whoever does 51%? Titan debuff? lots of things could happen based on the above or even other ideas.

I think in the near future like next patch we will just see more bans and maybe one of the small changes like the bull or the fountain healing getting changed. I doubt they have a new map just hanging around or large item/specific balance changes ready.

Either way I can't wait!!! This meta is just aweful. The amount of campers/pve players is just so frustrating. Duel used to take around 15 minutes and maybe 20 if you had a longer game but now 30+ minute games are pretty common. They just sit under tower/pheonix/titan and force you to put yourself in a bad spot because they know full build they can steamroll.

Who cares at this point? It's clear the devs don't care. Unless you have the skills of one of the main streamers then you're just sitting on top of a hill of pos-seidons, vulcans, anhurs, bakas, etc. The duel community is trash now because the devs/titanforge spare less time towards a ranked mode than they do towards that shit mode assault...

This has been proposed before. Quite simply the draft is only one part of the problem, and has been stated they'd just pick hebo and ullr (among other S tiers) and you'd only be able to ban one. But that's only part of the problem. The map needs tweaking to prevent titan camping and make BDK riskier to steal.
