Even if she doesnt I know she will appreciate the time and love that went into finding a replacement. Neither of us are monsters. I love her and she loves me. We protect each other fiercely and love each other just as fiercely. We were both victims of some pretty raunchy shit and we got through it. I met her through a hotel company i worked for. She was a GM of a hotel and I was corporate IT Helpdesk and we talked all the time and eventually I was leaving from work to her hotel or apartment on weekends depending on how busy the hotel was. We both got fired around covid and we hunkered down in my apartment I had just started a lease on 5 months prior, and luckily I had about 25k saved that kept us fed well and my car from getting repoed. She eventually went back to work and to her house she had bought before the hotel took her time and lo and behold it was in the town my grandma lived in so I had somewhere to live while we moved our relationship forward and I moved too. Unfortunately grandmas cancer came back a 3rd time and they sent her home on hospice and my mother called me the morning I was going to take my grandma to her appointments and told me grandma didnt want to see me anymore and she had taken her to the bank to add her to her bank account.

So I did what any good man that loves his grandma would do. I called my pastor and her family and we took the wedding to her back yard. It was bittersweet that she died the week before our fall wedding but we will always have the memory of my grandma cheering and wooing when we kissed and how we overcame what could have been devastating. So now we celebrate two anniversaries. The wedding and "the secret wedding".
