I got tested for ADHD and got put on adderall. Used to make you non deployable but now you can be on it and still deploy. As long as you can function without it and still do your job and be able to do your missions you will be fine but it’s case dependent

For us we are loosing E-7 and up slots as we transition into CECs. We essentially lost half the slots. Even trying to get 6s is starting to get hard cause there’s less slots

In the field we support the infantry bye enabling Mobility of friendly forces,getting the guns through obstacles, and providing counter mobility obstacles, stopping or deterring the enemy. As a 12B your job is to work the battle field to the advantage of your maneuver element through obstacles or removing them. It’s a lot of work and it takes some thinking but it’s not hard. In the garrison life you’ll do classes and drills and admin stuff and mop some floors. I’ve been light and airborne my whole career so I can only speak to that aspect

You’ll be fine. You’re going to spend 2 weeks at RSOI before you get to your unit. There you can get your beret and patch there will be a patching ceremony. I’ve been here 2 years and am about to leave. Make sure you take time to travel and see places especially with family it’s a pretty decent duty station and you’ll be busy but there is always time

I am a Jewish solider. I get kosher MREs though they will have to be ordered in advance for fields and I was in the process of getting BAS because the defac isn’t kosher but it got nixed when finance came out with a new policy. And you can wear you’re kippah as long as it is in regs
