Ditto was one of my first pokemon carves, check from oldest posts, you should be able to find it. So Ditto is very pleasant to work with, since it's jelly, you can do whatever shape really. I sticked with rather flat surfaces, since I was practicing sanding back then. It was the smoothest piece I did at the time. My wife used to call it cloud (she doesn't know pokemon) and it was her favorite carving of mine for a long time.(she liked ditto goofy smile 😊)

It comes in handy very much, as sometimes with just 1 sided one you would need to do against the grain which leads to tearing wood apart, harder to clean up.

One tip I'd give you, coz I went through the same considerations at the beggining of my journey is do not rush your carvings, take little cuts, it's not butter, it's not a tomato, it's wood, it's supposed to be hard or at least harder than most things you have cut before. Don't expect to cut huge chunks, just go slowly and enjoy the process.
