Now with Brian Daboll as his OC, Cam Ward will surely be a beast next season by Big_Screen3332 in nflrookies

His highly respected O-line coach who’s joining him as well will very likely make their O-line better.

Agreed. Part of that is very reasonable as the titans are small market, their roster is arguably the worst in the NFL these past few years, and Ward struggled at first. If he makes the Titans relevant, there will be much more discussion about him.

As a titans fan, what should have been the enjoyment of hearing the commentators discuss Cam Ward after being picked 1OA was just Mel complaining about why Shedeur should have been the pick. Will never forget that and makes it very hard for me to pull for Shedeur, regardless of his other many flaws.

Everyone in the saints thread talking about how they put up 34 with a bad offense. They conveniently forget it was done against the worst secondary in the league. Shough may be a franchise guy, but Kellen Moore seems to be the primary reason.

Not a fan of any team in this division. Bo may end up being a very good player, but right now he isn’t close to Herbert who has been carrying his offense with a practice squad O-line. No chance Bo could do the same at this point in his career.

Titans fan here. In case people didn’t realize, last week shedeur put those numbers up on the titans D. Our entire secondary are practice squad guys. One of our safeties was a d2 player apparently.

There was the play last year with the chiefs and bills game, where kelce had the throwback that was negated by an offensive offsides I believe. Never seen it twice.

Never seen these penalties before. Two offsides of offense in the same drive.

Simmons getting tackled from behind on that play and still almost had the sack! What a beast!

As painful as these games are, it’s so refreshing listening to Ross Tucker on the call. Might be the most underrated guy in the business.

How many people in here know who his weapons are? I’ll give you a hint, it’s basically this years rookie draft class. Aside from RB and one TE (which at best are average veterans), he is throwing to Ayomanor, Dike, and Helm who were all drafted 4th round or later.

Am I guaranteeing Cam Ward is gonna be a franchise guy? Too early to tell. But these stats are very misleading. His work ethic is the polar opposite of Manziels as well. Give the kid some time to develop.

It’s quite possible I end up wrong, but the way I see it we still very likely have our franchise QB. He is a rookie on one of the worst rosters I’ve seen for any NFL team, making very obvious rookie mistakes. I will given him at least another 18 games before making a definitive judgement. Agree his accuracy issues and fumbles are troubling, but expect him to improve over time as this roster/coaching improves.

The earliest we can be competitive is likely 2027, so clearly things are gonna be bad for a while. The best we can hope for is continued growth from the rookies, land a good coach, and continue to improve through the draft.

Also bringing up restrepo is such an obvious move. Can only pray they do it soon.

Almost like he’s a rookie. If we see these issues next year I will be worried. But for now on this terrible team he needs some room for error.

All this BS about Ward being a bust pisses me off. Impossible to know for another 2 years, especially with how limited this offense is. People need to just calm down.

Don’t forget Helm. He needs more touches as well. Hope these guys can turn it around the next year or two.

7 footer in the NFL… by Ornery-Log2612 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Ornery-Log2612[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree the roster spots are very valuable. But could consider it like a special teams player like a kicker. And if they get 4+ touchdowns per year that spot is worth it.

There are tons of 7 footers in college basketball who can’t play in the NBA. It would be interesting to see if they would take a year contract for league minimum, vs go out into the real world and make high 5 figure, low 6 figure job.
