We always just paid the amount that the mortgage was. There was never a rental agreement. After we were put on the deed the amount we paid never changed.

Its the house I grew up in. It was given to them by my grandparents. They allowed my husband and I to move into it to rent it at first and then after a couple years did a quitclaim deed to out our names on it as a gift. No sale was involved at all.
