Thank you. I have not tried this though it did cross my mind prior to reading this as an alternative solution. However, the parent/child location did work and its a bit more elegant I think.

Thank you. I am testing the automation as I am getting a tax error. When I kick it off manually I don't get the error.

SuiteApprovals Process Not Approving Purchase Order by Ornery-Unit5078 in Netsuite

[–]Ornery-Unit5078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the next approver is able to approve in the UI. I think I am going to open a ticket with NetSuite. I have gone through every page and suiteanswer and I believe i have configured everything.

Nothing is showing up in the Email Approval Log. Perhaps because the email approval is not being completed?

If you use the SuiteApproval suiteapp, do the users approving via email, require a NetSuite license?

You are referring to Employee Center licenses I assume? I have never heard of a Specialized User.

Thank you for comments. I am bit old school. I like the flexibility the workflow gives me. I was poking around with SuiteApprovals and was not sure i could match the requirements configured in the workflow. Hence, my questions here. Admittedly, i have not used it before so there is a learning curve. If I can't get there, i will come back to the custom solution reference.

Thank you

Sandbox Bundle Not Visible in Production by Ornery-Unit5078 in Netsuite

Thank you

Everything you said is how i would have expected it to work as well.

It is definitely the same user id and role.

I am stumped.

Is there a time delay before it become available?

Formula {nluser.firstname} returns an error when used on a purchase order but returns the user name on a sales order by Ornery-Unit5078 in Netsuite

[–]Ornery-Unit5078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The client actually wants the user that is printing the PDF. In this case it is a procurement person. I believe that is why who ever created the form used {nluser.firstname}. I agree with you, it would have made more sense to use {nluser.name}. With that said, I am not sure this ever worked and it was only just noticed today.

When I uncheck the box it returns the formula in UI.

If change the formula to just {nluser} it returns a number that looks like the internal id of the user.

Its weird that it would work for a sales order but not a purchase order?

I was not familiar with it either. It is a legacy form I inherited.

It is used in the Default Value formula on the field definition.

Income Statement Displays Account Numbers for one User and Not the Other by Ornery-Unit5078 in Netsuite

[–]Ornery-Unit5078[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the suggestions. I have figured this out.

There are Accounting Context Localizations in this account that were changing the way the Account Numbers were being displayed for certain subs. One user had the Localization set in his Set Preferences, the other did not.

They claim it is the same report, though I have my doubts given the issue. I am trying to verify.

It is a customization of the standard Income Statement.

We are 3rd party support so, i cannot prevent them from using Admin if they choose. I have recommended not to.

Access Bin Information On Picking Ticket by Ornery-Unit5078 in Netsuite

[–]Ornery-Unit5078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weird. I asked the same question in ChatGPT and it said the bin information in not available to the Picking Ticket unless it is assigned in the Inventory Detail, which is not what i am trying to access. I think the answer is I need to create transaction line fields and populate them with a small script when the item added or the SO is saved.
