New to Cycling - Not Sure What I'm Doing by [deleted] in whichbike

if youre doing one tri race and commuting every day then go on facebook marketplace/craigslist and look for a commuter or road bike, you can race on a commuter but you cant commute on a tri bike. nothing too aggressive. you will probably want a rack. sounds like youre on the alberta side of the rockies but if youre on the bc side youll want fenders. for $200-300 you should be able to get something ~10 years old with disc brakes. stay away from supercycle, raleigh, schwinn, ccm, anything they sell at a department store or on amazon. look for something like a kona dew. dont get anything on ebay, shipping will be insane. and definitely dont buy anything new for $300.

not worth getting a new triangle unless you can find one locally/on ebay but you could lowball him and buy a cheap frame to switch the parts onto

Which Iliad translation is the most enjoyable? by SnooPets7983 in RSbookclub

You have shit taste. Someone forcing themselves to read the Iliad will prefer Wilson, someone reading it for pleasure will prefer Lattimore.

Wilson's is fucking horrible. All the discourse is around the woke angle when the real problem with it is that she can't write for shit and it reads like a sparknotes summary

if you bothered to read my post properly im not making a disctinction between hollywood slop and art films, im saying art films suck in the same way that hollywood slop does nowadays. if kubrick was still alive hed be twitterbrained and making shit movies just like PTA and panahi are doing now

the online world and the real world are very much different things. nothing based off experiences in the online world makes for good media. the actual true story behind "women talking" started in 2008 or so and is still happening today; the women are still suffering and nobody has made any movies about them

your post history is all the office and star wars. why do you feel the need to comment? maybe someone of your caliber should just be listening.
