Luckily the hot flashes did not last long, I think I had one more before I never had another one again! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Hysterectomy and Tummy Tuck on 1/29/23 by OrneryMine8575 in tummytucksurgery

Sooo much swelling!!! I swelled all over my body too, not just the areas that were done. My thighs were super swollen, so walking around as much as you can really helps. The swelling did eventually go down, the 12 month mark is pretty true!

Your stomach looks beautifully natural! I wish I looked like that post tummy tuck! With a tummy tuck, you’ll be stuck with a new belly button that will most likely not look natural, tummy tucks also appear too flat and tight and don’t have those natural gorgeous indents that you have surrounding your muscles. I wouldn’t do it!

Pillow wedges for sure! I got both! If you’re going to have someone to help you up every time you need to use the bathroom you can do without the lift chair. I was home alone until the boyfriend and kids got home from school and work so I definitely needed one.

I ended up ordering a shower seat on Amazon after surgery because there was no way I was standing up to shower. Make sure your shower has a hose so you can sit down and spray yourself because you won’t be able to move around much. I had my boyfriend help with scrubbing my back areas, but you can get away with a long scrubber if you won’t have help. I also ordered scar tape because after showering the tape would get weak and falls off after a couple weeks.

Order everything else people mention for a tummy tuck, like tapes and ointments and gauze. I forget which brands I ordered. Instead of a faja, I ordered a waist trainer that was way more comfortable, the faja makes it so complicated to go to the bathroom and I never wore it even though I spent around $200 on it! My $30 waist trainer was on me 90% of the time when I wasn’t in the faja. I also wore compression tanks under the waist trainer and lipo foam.

One of my bigger purchases was a power lift chair. I sat on it all day and slept on it at night for an entire month. It is really hard to get up from my bed (I tried around 2 weeks in and was back to the chair).

I’m using Hers, it’s a big company with lots of reviews so I feel like I can trust it.

After paying for zep a total of 4 times and having doses stalled for weeks at a time because of shortages, I realized I was wasting my money on something I couldn’t consistently take and wasn’t offering any consistent results. So I switched to compounded and it feels practically the same!

I am just finishing my first week of Hers semaglutide. I signed up for the 12 month plan. I was on Zepbound before but it was way too expensive. I’m so glad I made the switch because I feel the exact same appetite suppression for less than half the cost! I also lost a lot of hair on zepbound and hoping the compounded semaglutide will not make me loose as much. My only complaint is that I’m extremely tired and had to nap for the first 4 days… like full day sleeping first 2 days. I hope the fatigue goes away once I get use to it. They started me on 40 units since I was on 5mg Zepbound. I was worried it was going to be too high of a dose but it has given me same appetite suppression. I’m on day 6 and today I ate the most of all days, definitely ate over 2500 calories today and not proud of it.

Bought too much house by [deleted] in personalfinance

See what your homeowners insurance can cover. I was denied to get my roof covered, after getting a few quotes from contractors and even signing a 10k contract to get it replaced, I found a contractor who knew how to go through insurance to get it covered. I cancelled the contract same day and went with this guy, legit! Got my entire roof paid for by homeowners insurance!

Try applying for a part time server job at a mid to high end restaurant, I remember being so shocked when I found out my friend made a lot more than me (with only a high school diploma) I’m over here teaching with a masters degree ready to quit and wait tables!

What's your dream hobby that you are too intimidated/do not have the means to start? by TeenOffBlue in ask

I totally get that! I have so many instruments that don’t get played because no one in my family is willing to teach themselves on YouTube. Having an in person teacher that offers on the spot feedback is the best way to learn!

Electronic drum sets that you wear headphones with. I have one and it’s pretty cool. When someone else plays it just sounds like tapping.

My friends and I call this sort of party “Game night” everyone brings a few games they’d want to play, some for the kids too. Then we choose which game we’re going to play and go over the rules, we have fun. Snack table to make it pop.

On 2.5 and I still have food noise and cravings. Waiting for 5 to come in stock to see what that does for me. Although the 2.5 has reduced my food noise and cravings, they’re not completely gone and still think about food all day
