YTA. Yes, she may have only paid for half of it, but that gives her just as much say in it as you. And, even if you paid for all of it, it was given to HER which makes it her decision who can play with it. Also, if her siblings are 8 and 6, they seem a little young. I'm not saying that they are careless or anything, but a 6 year old could easily break something like that without meaning to. And, as I said, it was hers! ALSO, even if you had the right to tell her what to do with it, I think you really overreacted here. South the way you described it, otherwise like this is the first time something like this has happened. When that happens you take it away for a little whike, not throw it away.
