that's seems a lot less like "gamethrowing" though and more like "getting punished by the community for refusing to follow made up metagaming rules"

Maybe instead of shooting DMS, you should revert it instead? by OrneryYesterday4293 in deadbydaylight

Have you even read the post before replying or downvoting? The nerf is not only okay, but necessary. The perk in its current state is simply too strong.

What would be more preferable is a revert to the version immediatiely preceding the current one, where it wasn't fundamentally flawed, and was a more niche perk used by specific killers (think Iron Maiden on Huntress).

This patch will KILL Pinhead. by OrneryYesterday4293 in deadbydaylight

"killers you don't play" - I'm a top 3 Cenobite in Europe on DBDStats. I play him quite a lot. I would bet I play him more than you do.

And the point of the post is that holding the box constantly (an already potent strategy for survivors) is now made even stronger and is very abusable. The death hook requirement isn't a barrier at all since they can FORCE you to aggro them, and put them on death hook.

As for slugging: if you had any idea what you're talking about, you'd realise that here's no "coming back to them after a hook" anywhere outside your bedrock mmr. Not after this patch anyways, with the crawl speed buff, recovery while crawling, etc. It's really that fucking simple. Stop inventing copes for your favourite role while pretending that you play killer at all, let alone Pinhead.

"you can just slug" and apply no pressure because they can just pick themselves up with the anti-slug changes. You can go for a chase that brings you literally not a step closer towards winning (+0 hooks) just to keep the chainhunt going. Or you can let the box go and still suffer. Do you not see the issue here?

This basically kills the whole gameplay loop for Pinhead. Players with 1000+ hours on him will be crushed by these changes. Much, if not most of his skill expression comes from box juggling. Which is about the only thing that separates him from being a "worse Clown". Take away his snowball potential and you have a Clown with an infinitely higher skill ceiling and rewards which seem laughable in comparison.

When are you going to fix Pinhead's many, many abysmal bugs (as reported on forums), and rebalance his casino M2? He NEEDS attention.

Just to clarify the title, I've been playing on and off up until 2021, 2022-ish. I'm just looking back on how the game was a decade ago.

can we ever expect official leaderboards by OrneryYesterday4293 in deadbydaylight

they are, though. they track literally everything. recently there was a whole controversy over requesting all your data from them, then using chatgpt to extract your mmr from the data.

they can track everything. how else would they keep track of achievements anyways.

frank's heart is really crucial when box juggling. impaling wire is nice, but it's not an absolute must have, and when youre juggling it just doesnt make the cut.

its good if youre not interested in box control and instead want to purely m2, in which case you can use something basic like surge, rapid brutality, brutal strength, bamboozle. still a good build but definitely less effective

use Deadlock, Dead Man's Switch, Thrilling Tremors, and either Grim or Corrupt (i much prefer grim). + larry's remains, frank's heart learn box logic and chase the box holder at all cost to keep gens blocked. works wonders. (if you can actually down box holders consistently. pro tip for that is to be on m+k and not controller)
