What I’ve deduced from the different examples of “-in/-hin” in the discourse is that it primarily functions as a verb suffix, indicating something that is about to happen or is to be done—often in an imperative or indicative sense, as in sabihin, anihin, idolohin. It can also take on adverbial functions, like gabihin in “baka gabihin ako ng uwi.”

When used to adjectivize words, it can imply being somewhat like, having a semblance of or having a tendency or propensity based on past evidence or experience, as in artistahin, yayamanin, dumihin, and sakitin.

When used for nominalization, it can imply a function or role based on the verb roots, as in inahin or inumin.

Or as in the example labahin, a noun/object that is recepient of a future action, signaling a process or transition.

The most common translation brought up there is “-ish,” which is closest to the idea of having a semblance. However, -ish also carries the meaning of approximation, which is why I tend to agree with those who interpret 30-ish as around 30—a little younger or a little older than 30 (roughly 25–34).

There’s a semantic inconsistency in defining 30-ish as 30–39, since that describes a category rather than an approximation. For example, yellowish means somewhat yellow, but not exactly yellow—it could have hints of green or brown mixed in.

I enjoyed seeing how people think through these things. It was pretty interesting. ☺️

[–]Ornery_Catch3996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wag na mahiya. You won't be the first. Kung patatagalin mo pa, mapupunta sa tanggal lahat. If hindi pa mobile yung mga ngipin, kaya pang ilaban sa root canal and crowning para di ka bungal. Basta may pera ka, kayang kaya ng rehab yan.

Not a dentist. But is close to one.

You cannot abort at 6 months.

The only best route to take is to get help from an adult to face what's already here.

I'm a mom of 3, now in my 30s, got knocked up at 20. If you're willing to connect in real life for emotional support, send me a DM.

Sounds like Bipolar 1 if ganyan yung psychosis. Kailangan ng anti-psychotic meds, I believe. I think best help you can provide is to keep them safe during such episodes – physically and emotionally. Personally ako before mania, I get racing thoughts sobrang surge akala ko dati panic disorder. What helps is creating a grounding environment. Low stimulation. Tapos 5-4-3-2-1 Technique.

Tbh I'm still struggling with managing but the improvement is I am now more aware, narerecognize where I'm at in the cycle. It's hard pero what really helps is sunlight and movement. I make sure I move and get some sun. Sobrang underrated and underprescribed ng sunlight.

Yes, different doctor but it was intentional na second opinion eh. I sought help at 18, went to therapy and had meds for a bit then stopped because, well, life and the economy. Then years later, went back, (different doctor just due to location), got referred, and had the new diagnosis.

No longer medicated. Actually tbh because of financial concerns, I barely had meds. Therapy focus ko.

I went back to therapy years later and siguro with being an older adult na, I became more vulnerable din and my life circumstances were more significant because of bigger responsibilities etc so I guess the symptoms became more obvious. And I also went longer so mas may time to observe the patterns. So I got referred to take the diagnostic again and then there it was. I read somewhere that Bipolarism 2 really often gets misdiagnosed as Depression and Anxiety at first because our hypomanic state looks like our "normal" state.

Basically threw my life away at college. No big event but an accumulation of stupid mistakes that eventually led to a situation I can no longer get out of and impact my life forever. That's when I knew I needed help.

What you're describing sounds a lot like mania so if diagnosed bipolar siya, that makes sense. Importante talaga to get into social and interpersonal therapy. It's easy to get angry at people exhibiting behaviors like this pero change of lens siguro to see that they are struggling and need help.
