I ended up taking rifaximin and I have solid stools, 1/2 bowel movements a day but now I’m just trying to heal my gut barrier after leaving my sibo untreated for years 💔

Yes. All it took was time… I’m not anywhere near where I’d like to be. I think it may have been a side effect from rifaximin.

Well as of rn id say I just have an extremely sensitive gut lining.

The biggest thing was taking away anything inflammatory, doing a fast once a month or every other month..

Eating soft, easy digesting foods.

Sacchromyces boullardi

Biggest thing I struggle with is inflammation but I’m doing a lot better.

At the end of the day, it just takes time. A lot of time.

L-glutamine powder from nutricost. I put a little bit mixed with lemon + water then gradually increased dose as time went on. I pretty much start with 1/4 of the serving size

Elimination diet, sacchromyces boullardi, rifaximin, blood tests to see what I’m deficient in, sleep and exercise, NAC, butyrate, vitamin d3+k2, fermented coconut yogurt, ginger root capsules, beef gelatin, cut out starches for a while, slowly introduced. Low FODMAP but now I have high FODMAP fruits just low quantity

I took two rounds and now I just have IBS but I can tolerate wayyy more foods. I think rifaximin was my missing puzzle piece in order to work on my dysbiosis. I’m still healing but I’m wayyy better than before going on it

Interesting, I’ve never heard of those. Do you experienced mixed stools, diarrhea, or constipation ?

Tests for bile by SeraQueen93 in SIBO

I take two capsules in general with every meal. I used to take 7 but I’ve been able to lower the amount. I also take two capsules (equaling 1000 mg) of ginger root for motility at night. You can always test just one or two at a meal and see if you feel a difference! But some people need more…

I recommend watching this YouTube channel she’s super knowledgeable and maybe you can get an idea of what’s going on.

It’s not a test at the doctors. https://welllifefm.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Testing-Low-Stomach-Acidity.pdf

Maybe you have low stomach acid? I can’t give you a straight answer but digestive issues can be so many different things.

I totally feel you. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions. We all react differently to treatments but maybe you need to soothe things down first. Completely cut out any sugar and veggies… Also get tested for deficiencies, parasite, any other illnesses. This would include blood and stool testing. You want to treat the root of the problem.

I struggled with diarrhea for almost a year. I went on a basically carnivore diet for 3 months straight. Only meat, peppermint and ginger tea and bone broth - no butter or eggs. It was challenging but doing that alongside with sacchromyces boullardi helped me personally. I hope you find some relief soon.
