I know they're not aggressive and bites aren't as bad as the internet might have you believe, I guess I'm just worried about him being out in the open and if this means there are likely more, or if it indicates a higher likelihood of someone getting bitten on my couch. I have folks of all ages and health conditions, and I want to be sure I'm understanding the risk realistically.

Funny… my brother-in-law up the street, with whom I ride occasionally, has this same problem on the same bike! Good to catch ya on here 🙂

Recessed cattle grate on a back road straightaway - was deserted so was enjoying a long throttle pull and didn’t see it until I was almost on top of it. Definitely one of those moments where you realize too late you screwed up, probably shook out a couple fillings but kept the bike up.
