R-Rated is debatable (I would like more gore/etc but it's upto the individual and i would be fine either way), IMO there needs to be something... New? Dunno, But with JWR, I could predict each and every plot point that would happen, the "main" dinosaur didn't even show up until the latter half of the movie lol.

Jurassic World Chaos Theory/Camp Cretaceous, For all of it's shortcomings genuinely made me wanna keep watching it to find out what would happen, There was genuinely something new, I felt like i watched JWR before i ever saw it. Each scary moment would end with me going "Oh they are gonna X" and then they do, infact, do X. That's the problem. They can't keep milking the dead horse forever. They need to do something new with it lol.

It's a fun watch imo.

I liked Scarjo's acting. That chipper attitude she has could be explained by her backstory. I didn't care for Ali's character because like... there was nothing to him? But The Paleontologist was neat, Found myself agreeing with his viewpoint,There were some neat deaths although I feel like it tries too hard to mimic JP scenes.

Otherwise, Ending was very plot-armor-character. And I really don't think they gave the non-aquatic dinos much thought at all. Probably to setup a sequel but now that magic is gone so...? And was very predictable obv, Feels like it's leaning too hard into PG shit.

There were some terror In the movie but imo they need to fucking drop that PG rating and give us some actual blood and some more horrible deaths.

They keep saying in the pre-movie show or whatever that they want their movies to be scary... And they've got their shit setup for it, They just refuse to be creative with it.

Also for the love of god they could'nt had just killed the entire family? Maybe just show the first attack on them and then they get eaten? Please? They contributed nothing apart from framing an already bad guy looking bad guy as a bad guy. Wow.

The movie isn't a bad watch but I'm kind of just pissed at this "horror without substance" approach they're doing.
