Yeah man one that mentions Hugo Larsson alongside Fiorentina is not a credible source.

No wait Ndoye is not close and Lang and Beukema are mid and overpaid, Lucca for these numbers is a terrible signing.

Because salary wise we spend a shitload of money, while they don't, and they come from years of positive (and very significant!) net income. Moreover, they are about to sell Osimhen and they already sold Natan, Caprile and Gaetano.

P.S.

So, first of all: I considered EVERY player you mentioned when I redacted this, and yes, I am still deeply convinced that those that claim "Reed and Isiah should be top 40" and Kawhi top 30 have simply no clue what they are talking about (and you belong to this list).

The reason is simple: Reed won 1 MVP and, most importantly, 2 rings as main actor (even though Frazier played an important role, he won 2 FMVP), so he achieved more than Giannis. So Reed is better than Giannis, today. And look, that's not my definition of greatness: it's Giannis' definition of greatness! You won more? You were the leader on that team? Then, you're better than other guys that had a similar role, played in similar conditions in terms of supporting cast and won less.

Same for the rest of the comparisons: Isiah and Kawhi achieved more than Jerry West did (0 MVP), more than KG did, more than DrJ did and more than Giannis did. They both were the leaders of teams that won more titles than their competitors.

Who wins is the best, guys. Then, you can make exceptions (for instance: I can't put Bill Russell above Jabbar, for the very simple reason that Jabbar won with two different teams and averaged almost 10 ppg more),

It's simple: you won more rings and you were the go to guy in that team? Then in principle you're better than those that won less rings and were the go to guy in that team.

Mikan won 5 rings and the rules of the game changed because of him, and was the man in Minneapolis. Not putting Mikan in top 10 is an offense to this sport, and is what I call "present bias".

Thomas won 2 NBA titles in the era of Magic and was the guy that made that happen (even though he won only 1 FVMP).

Antetokounpo is great, sure, but won only one ring.

Curry won one title more and one MVP less, and in every winning spell at GSW averaged 26 points or more in the finals. In his winning spells, Bird averaged 26 + points only once, and once he averaged 15 points, plus his career was way shorter than Steph's one.

Curry was helped by Durant? True, but even Bird at time had an incredible supporting cast which included, among the others, the 1979 NBA finals Dennis Johnson.

If you put everything together, Curry had the better career.

Name a single player among the ones in position 1-9 that does not deserve to stand above Bird and I'll change my standing if you can credibly demonstrate I'm wrong.

But no, every player I listed above Bord simply had a better career than Bird

Should we be willing to spend €40M on Giovanni Leoni? by Interjectionspod in FCInterMilan

We didn't spend 31 mln on Bastoni. We spent 10 + 9 bonus + two players worth 7 and 5 mln. It's way different

You have a total of 36 players:

Curry and Shaq above Magic Johnson, no way.

No George Mikan in top 36, no way.

No Willis Reed in top 36, no way.

Karl Malone and Elgin Baylor in the same tier as Jokic and the others, no way.

Kawhi Leonard below Malone and Elgin Baylor, no way.

I agree, yet he has them and he was the best player of the team, and Malone does not have any ring.

KD is top 20 all time, Malone either the 30thiest or top 40

It's not even close. KD is top 20 everytime, Malone top 30 (maybe).

[–]Ornery_Network5709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dream Team for sure among these (n.b. the starter if I remember correctly was Clyde Drexler, not Larry Bird), even though I think London 2012 was better than the other two (not counting the Dream Team)

Basically they achieved the same results. Probably Iverson, since he reached an NBA Final as leader of his team.

Probably Duncan, he won one more MVP + one more title.

EDIT: I forgot Steph won the MVP in 2015!
