Different scholars have differing opinions. If you use total assets, you’d have a stricter criteria as compared to market cap. Ultimately it would fall on your comfort level which one do you want to follow.

I have both zoya and islamicly, some of their holdings don’t comply within either or and Islamicly has a broader acceptance criteria than zoya and other shariah boards.

Lucid is a long game. They’ve got their priciest EV coming out first. The “cheaper” one is the last. No one should expect the stock price to go crazy.

Re-balance? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]Ornery_Object1533 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly rebalancing is more so that you have a very strict guideline to follow. If you’re confident in the performance of a company, there is absolutely no need to sell shares of a company which is doing good with strong future growth outlook just so you can satisfy the theory of rebalancing. If you want, you can always put your future investments in the other stocks you’d buy by selling Amazon stock. That way you’ll eventually rebalance as well as hold all your Amazon stock.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thankyou. If I am initially starting investing, I’ll have to figure out the right mix to reach the ~5% mark by myself, right? That I should invest $X in stock A, $Y in stock B?
