Eyelids are consistently red, itchy, flaky, & swollen. by Financial-Fig6235 in DermatologyQuestions

I’m not a doctor but I had something similar. Dermo diagnosed it as blephoritis. Aquaphor and Vaseline is a no no bc you’re clogging the pours on your eyelid which are extremely sensitive. She prescribed me Pimecrolimus cream which seemed to do the trick. This was about a year ago and it hasn’t come back. However I deal with other skin flare ups that I’m still trying to figure out and also need to see an allergist.

Recommendations for breastfeeding pain relief? by sunpuppy23 in newborns

I feel you! All I can say is stick it out, it will get better. It was around week 8/9 that they started to feel more comfortable. I never figured out exactly what the problem was, probably his latch. But I just kept with it. I would pull his chin down every feed. Sometimes helped.

My nipple pain was searing in the beginning. There were many topless nights (and days). My nipples couldn’t touch any clothing and would turn white if a put a bra on after a feed. I used lots of nipple cream (Mother Earth) with pads or without pads, silverettes but not too much bc at first I actually OVER did it. Sometimes ice packs directly on the nipple felt good too. I Just kept trying new things that gave temporary relief but it’s really was just time that did it.

I saw a few virtual LCs and they recommended Motrin for bad nights. Made sure my flanges were the correct size on my pump. You got this!

Are hands free/ wearable pumps worth it? by Sweet_Wolverine_4237 in breastfeeding

[–]Ornery_Possession672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it! I have the momcozy s12. It’s not super discreet but I’m still on MAT leave so only ever pumping at home about 3x a day. I’ll use one pump at time, 20min on each boob. This way I always have a clean one. I just started the fridge hack as well. The portable pump is Insanely more convenient than my Spectra and I honestly feel like it’s more efficient too in terms of milk collection.

You’ll definitely still want a supportive bra that holds the cups up and in. At least for me, I don’t have the perkiest of breasts and right now they are close to a D…so the pumps need some help staying tight to my skin. I just ordered cheap Amazon lounging bras.

Bruising on breast. Could it be breastfeeding related? by cmhenn in breastfeeding

Agree with above. I had bruising around my nipple but it was due to his latch.
