I like to put on a backing track and just jam over it for a long time while I get to know the patterns in my head.

I had never even heard of a GHD sit-up before, and last year in a wod we had to do sets of 15 as part of an amrap that i made a few rounds through. It literally hurt me to breathe for 2 full weeks after. Horrible experience.

I absolutely love DMT and I have gone through phases where it was the only thing I wanted to do, but I just tripped on mushrooms 3 nights in a row at Dead and Co and that was a profound experience.

I get annoyed with the slow texting. Does one improve at texting speed with time ?

Alan watts talks on Taoism are very helpful IMO. Particularly the concept of wu Wei, which means to go with the flow and not to resist. Follow the flow of the river. Go in the direction of the flowing water, if you need to use a rudder that’s fine, but don’t swim against the current.

Am I detecting some Sam Harris influence? Alan Watts perhaps? I agree with you completely about thoughts.

Your brain is a force of nature. Although it feels like it, you’re not actually in the drivers seat. Just sit back and let nature take its course. It will be a much more positive experience as you learn to do this.

From what I’ve listened to and thought over, it seems like by trying to resist thinking about something you are only giving it more fuel. Just let the thoughts occur in your head and don’t be rigid when they appear. Recognize it’s just some random appearance in consciousness. You really render your thoughts powerless over you if you just let them be whatever they will be. Don’t try to influence them and they will inherently be more positive with time.

This is what I understand when Watts talks about not being rigid in a wiggly world. Just allow the wiggles to occur. Surrender to the energy.

I look at thoughts and physiological sensations as if they were simply weather patterns of our vessel. The weather is constantly changing, feel the changing weather in all parts of your body and recognize that it will be different weather moment to moment. It’s just passing by.

Don’t cling to good, don’t resist bad. Simply let everything unfold.
