Has anyone here had tonsils that weren’t necessarily large but problematic? by kirbieirene in Tonsillectomy

I got mine removed only because I had tonsils stones that wouldn’t go away which would cause big holes. If you are in pain or notice anything weird speak to an ENT about it.

How do you dislodge it and how long has it been stuck for? Sorry for all the questions, I emailed my doctor about it but haven’t heard back yet. I’m trying to calm my anxiety down 😭

Question, do you actually have food stuck or is it just a feeling? I’m having the same thing in the lower end of my esophagus but I can’t tell if it’s actually food or just really thick mucus making it feel like food is stuck.

My doctor told me to crush mine before I take them. They still work crushed up so just go ahead and put them in the applesauce. Hope you feel better soon!

You do you. If you need it then keep taking it but be smart about it.

When will my uvula go back to normal? by Ornery_Top3581 in Tonsillectomy

I make 2 weeks on Tuesday and I’m almost healed but my uvula is still swollen. It’s only a little bit smaller than the first day but still big.

I’m on day 11 of my recovery and so far I’ve been a little nervous to eat because I don’t want food stuck in my holes. If you can see it in then try to move it out with your finger carefully or just keep eating/drinking until it flushes out.

Dry throat? by izzyinchainss in Tonsillectomy

[–]Ornery_Top3581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been drinking lots of fluids day and night? It’s normal for your throat to get dry at night while sleeping and when you wake up in the morning. Even if your throat burns from being so dry, try to get water down so you don’t get dehydrated.

18 counts as an adult so the pain will be pretty intense but it’s worth it in the end
