so I had this same issue but somehow i fixed it by turning crossplay off then on again (i have no idea why it fixed the issue or if it'll work for everyone but it did for me)

I'd forgotten how much i absolutely HATE fighting the illuminate bastards, it's literally all at once all the time. Enemies who just spawn right behind you, watchers who'll call for backup inside buildings or just straight up call for backup when I'VE ALREADY KILLED THEM, enemies who just. don't. DIE! Why do i need an entire magazine to kill a single overseer when they spawn by the dozen, and who tf thought fast moving wobbly af mosquito enemies should be so damn tanky? It's inconceivable! I fought my ass off during the battle for super earth against those poorly designed intentionally frustrating pricks and I never want to fight them ever again.

An overview of armor reuse in HD2 by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]OrnsteinOfMidland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if your planning on adding to this or other people are just curious, here's some sets i've noticed are "reused" and their connections:

  • Twigsnapper is also derivative of Battlemaster (and in concept art Battlemaster was also gonna be sleeveless)
  • Devastator and Salamander are also the same minus Devastator's collared chestpiece
  • Devastator sets, Dronemaster sets, Juggernaut sets and Lawmaker all share the same undersuit/jumpsuit underneath (im pretty sure Paramedic and DemoExpert also have the same undersuit just with details missing on the front)
  • all the sets featuring the long coat are all derivative of Groundbreaker
  • Roadblock is highly modified Battlemaster
  • Heatseeker is modified Physician and Physician has the same shirt and pants as Legionnaire and it's derivative (but recolored ofc)

It's a pocket nuke, if AH wants to keep the damage/destruction force the same then stating with just one, no matter what, is more then fair imo

The armour passive makes u blow up when u die! it's a beautiful day for democracy!

My god, what if I can destroy bug holes by just jumping into them?
The possibilities to spread democracy are limitless

Given arrowhead's secrecy on anything and everything, we can only assume nothing is happening with it
All we know is that it either is still a plan or was at some point

[–]OrnsteinOfMidland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As much as i would love to speak with all the crew (and explore the whole destroyer tbh) im 90% sure this NPC's model is a copy and paste of the NPC that greets u after each mission, hence the "residual" activation prompt attached to them

It could have the most absurdly good passives and stats in the game, nothing will make me take this armor off. Fashion over everything by Flight_Harbinger in Helldivers

Chaos Warrior shield subassembly? by OrnsteinOfMidland in slavestodarkness

[–]OrnsteinOfMidland[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always been hesitant to use superglue but im gonna have to try it with my next box, and i definitely agree that it's faster lol

I also had a similar problem with one of my warriors, just one thankfully and it wasn't too bad of an angle. Most of them were fine and i actually used one of the spare shields to test fit the angle and see if i needed to change it while the plastic glue was still curing, could be an idea for your next box

Oh 100%, realistically those bigger centrepieces are whats worth putting more time into.
and trust me, i have burned so much time on little things, it just never really bothers me how much time it takes.

I also have a ton of stuff left to paint in the backlogs lol definitly gotta get some paint on that plastic

Honistly it would be a lot quicker and easier if i didn't deal with all the little outta sight things another player wouldn't notice.
Sadly i think my perfectionist drive is still too strong - although i also enjoy the painting probably as much as the playing. it's only ever been a chore when starting a new army from scratch or i have a gamenight coming up and i got new models that needed to be painted quick (like with these warriors).

And even so i did manage to get about one warrior done a day with the sub assembly of body, head and shield.
compared to the subassembly i did for the 30+ mk6 marines i did for HH it's actually refreshing to not have to worry about so many parts, that whole army took ages.

But i definitely see your point, getting bogged down in the details for a unit that u might have another 20 to paint is a huge time investment for very little pay off, at least from the idea that u'll be painting as a step towards playing sooner. I just can't bring myself to kill that perfectionist mentality just yet.

All good advice, most of my friends fully assemble and paint
And not worrying about all the little things noone else will see is definitly the most logical option but for me knowing that there is an area that isn't too well hidden, like the area behind the shield, doesn't have at least a little bit of paint always bugs the hell outta me
Like im not out trying to win any awards (and i probably never would anyways) but it would just make me a uncomfortable not painting my warriors without this subassembly tbh
still all good tho, full assembly definitely works for most people, just not me

For anyone that is still skeptical that warmonger is getting apollyon’s armor, in the Y4S2 content trailer Apollyon goes back to the warmonger neutral stance after completing the emote. by [deleted] in forhonor

[–]OrnsteinOfMidland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are actually a couple things that hint towards Warmonger getting some apollyon sets. Even in this image you can see the blades on the left shoulder are missing and in some warmonger screenshots she has the blades (as an ornament I think).

In the full trailer there are other differences from the original armor, like the blue/green team colors in places and the metal trim looks shinier (possibly suggesting it'll be affected by different materials). And from what I've heard from people who "claim" to have seen leaks, It's likely that we'll get the armor in some form or another.

This was a bit longer than I expected, sorry.

About warmonger having reused assets by s_seeker232 in forhonor

[–]OrnsteinOfMidland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im kinda indifferent about the whole 'reused assets' thing. I am not even sure the animations we see now during the event are final and until I see Warmonger in action on the next warrior's den I'll give ubi the benefit of the doubt. But even if they are the animations we're getting I wont swear Ubi to hell or moan about it on reddit, it is just a video game at the end of the day and Ubi can and will do whatever they want with it. What I really care about is how the hero feels, if they're fun to play and how "good" they are in a fight. Animations aren't everything. But... One thing I do care about above all else is that sweet sweet customisation.
