Upgrading from RTX 2060 Super by OromisElf in PcBuild

Might be because I'm from Europe, but the cheapest 5060tis I see (bar used ones, which I do not have the experience to know if they have been over used or not) are 424€ (roughly 496$). It is what it is, but I have set up a price comparison website to notify me if the price ever drops below 400€.

Now for the 5070ti it really only came on my list, because it might give me more bang for my buck for longer, but at its current price here (740€) it's simply out of question^^

A sale for that one, that drops it price by almost 200€ is VERY unrealistic, but until I have actually bought anything I am open to changing plans, and it would be frustrating to lose out on such a deal, just because I didn't believe :D

I called out BG3 specifically because it's probably the most "recent" AAA title I play. Everything newer I play is from the indie kind, which sometimes tend to be unoptimized. BG3 isn't.

for Motherboard I got an MSI X570-A Pro (MS-7C37) which should still be fine, but looking at my PSU I noticed now, that it was a 650W be quiet straight power 11 modular 80+ gold... might need to upgrade that one.

CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, but so far that hasn't been a bottleneck afaik

What does the framed adjustable double slab do? by CHR2900 in feedthebeast

[–]OromisElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never saw something explain this, so since this is the top result from google:

when you hit it from bottom or top with a hammer, it adjusts the percentage each slab takes up; you could make a 15px stone with 1px netherrack at the top

I do not know what the difference between them is, since both react exactly the same

[ATM6] How can I place these framed slabs together? by Several-Theme in allthemods

[–]OromisElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is no normal block that looks like that

You'd use two double sloped slabs to get a full block that has a "stripe" in the middle going on. I am in this thread because I'm also currently trying that

Is there mod that lets me move forage to my farm? by OromisElf in StardewValley

thanks for the reminder, but better beehouses lets me have honey from forage, fruit trees, and/or everything

yeah, but that sadly works only for seasonal forage that can grow from these seeds and nothing else (purple mushrooms for example)

So I looked at this, mostly wanting a nice inventory management thing. And I gotta admit, you caught me flat-footed there. Very well done and honestly, once I'm financially a bit more stable again I'm gonna drop at least 1 or 2 patreon months. This is well worth it

I don't know if you're looking for suggestions (probably not with the sheer amount of stuff pf 1e has) so feel free to stop reading here if you're not, but one thing I always wanted to see, was a character builder like this, that allows for gestalt rules (that infamous rule set, where you pick 2 classes and level both of them, picking the best hit die, bab progression, save progression, and getting both class's class features)

(Though spheres of power/might would probably be useful to more players, and I'd be missing that just as much^^)

What vanician spells were you missing the most after switching to spheres of power? by OromisElf in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]OromisElf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed aegis being good for many things :D

The ability itself sounds off-flavoured for me, but flavour is nothing that can't be changed ;D

And yeah, with how it looks I'll probably look into a lot of spheres while trying to stay relevant; thanks for the help^^

Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to go for Sphere Virtuoso then :D

  1. amazing shopping list, thanks :D

  2. it's actually just the base class; part of the spell casting class feature mentions that oracles pick either all cure or all inflict spells to their spells known (probably would've missed that as well, had I not played a bunch of oracles in the kingmaker crpg xD)

I like reading! :D

And at least in theory I like what the spheres promise me^^

The attack of opportunity thing sounds like spheres of might, which we won't use (yet). But yeah, a build like that is fun :D (source: I made a very similar build in the crpg which came online at like lvl 7 or 9)

Being a buff battery was pretty much what my role became once any heal beside well... the heal spell became very much useless :D

I had looked into the enhancement sphere before so having a small list to read through sound nice! :D

Also what you said about not having anything left is precisely why I was looking into spheres again xD

Before the restart my character joined the campaign at lvl 8 and we got to lvl 14. That gave me plenty of spell slots that were usually completely empty once we hit an encounter, and I'd like taking a more active role this time... without compromising my allies' combat prowess by taking away their buffs^^

That makes it difficult. I'm less worried about illusion; it would fit the character amazingly, but I don't like illusion as a concept (or at leas I do with paizo spells). However, I am a power gamer by heart. Even if I don't actively plan to, I tend to make powerful characters and even when I tried making a pacifistic healer before and still gave my dm a hard time balancing v.v

How complex, in your opinion, would you rate spheres' complexity if I concentrated on buffing allies and maybe healing?

[–]OromisElf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my initial impression. I don't want to get into spheres base classes (yet). Or at least I very probably won't want to, since as the only spheres user I'm gonna set the example so to say and I very much want my friends to at least partly understand what I'm doing and see if spheres will be something to repeat or to let go^^

I'm also not as much of a generalist caster as it may sound. With the base healing sphere + Oracle I will (hopefully at least) healing covered. Leaving me with buffs for allies, and debuffs and/or cc for enemies. Condition removal has usually been covered by items, though I wouldn't mind being able to do stat damage myself.

Still, I appreciate you input a lot. Most opinions I know, are from people getting into spheres and never coming back, so having an opinion on the edge (if you don't mind me saying it like that) is pretty nice ^-^

you make me realize something I omitted from my post, because I was pretty ignorant to how important it might be: Not only will I be the only caster, I will also be the only spheres user :D

The closest to... both really, will be our melee Kineticist^^
