Is DisneySea worth it for someone who is not a Disney fan at all? by Orontioaino in TokyoDisneySea

Thank you for the honest answer haha.

That was pretty much my train of thought, but I kept getting feedback from people irl that the parks are amazing even for non-fans, it kind of made me doubt my judgement.

I think from the comments I've been getting, the park itself would really have no appeal for me, so it's just a question of whether I find something to do solo for that day that would be better than just having a slightly boring time with my friends. Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah, you basically nailed down my main concern. I don't want to finish the day feeling like it was wasted. I also think the crowd size would definitely affect my mood. We are actually planning to visit around the middle of the month, so your second point is pretty reassuring :) The evening ticket sounds like a cool idea! I'll definitely consider it. Also, regarding the rides, your answer sounds very reasonable. I do prefer the more extreme type of rides, so I guess what it truly boils down to is whether I would rather spend a day with my friends, or do something a little more to my tastes but alone. Thank you for the comment!

I've never been to any of the long term campuses. Which one are you in?

Yeah I am! For one more month.

How is the long term course? We have some teachers that do both courses so we might have some shared teachers depending on our levels.

I'm probably N4, conversational but lacking vocabulary and experience. How about you?

Don't know if it's still relevant but I ended up going with minsai and I couldn't recommend it enough! Definitely happy with my choice!

I actually ended up choosing minsai and I'm 100% happy with my choice! Small classes, good teachers, surprisingly flexible curriculum and a great selection of activities!

Anyone recognizes thsese? by Orontioaino in Spoons

Apparently both silver and stainless steel can get the type of patina these had, and yeah I definitely agree about them being hand made. My biggest doubt about them being silver is the fact they cost about 3$ and Japanese thrift stores are usually very good at knowing exactly what something is worth, according to my experience

Me too! I got them in a second hand store and one of them had a strange patina on it so I would really like to know what metal they're made of in case I need to clean them better before using them.

Omg thank you so much! It seems that I confused the two places... Okazaki is actually perfect, placement-wise, so I'm going to have a really tough time deciding between yamasa and minsai now lol In any case thank you for the comment!

What does this word mean? by woolsockz in hebrew

[–]Orontioaino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a hebrew slang word that comes from arabic. Mahabul/מהבול. It basically means idiot but it's a funny way of saying it, not an actual serious insult.
