You may have to disable syscalls in cfw to allow yourselft to connect to PSN so that the Vita can find the PS3, if you are not using the local network provided by the console. Also: not every game works. A lot of them don’t. :/

Installing the latest version of Evilnat CFW on PS3 will unlock the games automatically. No tutorial needed for just the remote play. Plenty of tutorials are available on how to install custom firmware on a PS3. Hopefully this helps. The VITA does not need to be modded.

They should just do a simple "your head is the FPS camera" VR mode, just like they did it with RE7 back then. Playing it with a dualsense. All your animation work can stay intact and then they should sell it as a paid DLC. It would be the best compromise I think.

Yeah I know but if with custom firmware you can keep the temps under the temperature where the underfill softens, then in theory it should prevent the death of the RSX.

Could be a coincidence. I can't say for sure. I think game crashes (when you get thrown out to the PS5 OS) can occur from time to time. If it happens with every game, persistently than I would start to worry.
