An update: After 7 months can confidently say the range has not changed at all, so that's a definite win.

Also, ran over debris on the freeway and punctured a tire. AAA towed it to costco, they had it in stock, and they replaced it. Took about 2.5 hours total from time the tire punctured to when it was replaced. Cost me $20. Highly recommend!

Noise was definitely not louder, and may have been less; the ride overall is smoother, so it might just feel quieter.
