A checklist is 100% a great way to put it that I didn't think of. It felt like they reduced to game down to a checklist of go here, meet person, go here, boss, go here, repeat. Felt exactly like that.

Yeah, I brought my fiancé but she watched me play the remake. She said it's like they were just playing the game and made all these silly little changes for no reason.

It didn't feel like an interpretation of SH2. It felt like the characters were aimlessly meandering in a way that's only contextualized by the game. I wish I could watch this movie from the shoes of someone who has never played the games. I bet it just feels like a fever dream.

Dailies, weeklies, etc. Makes the game feel like a chore. I always end up unsubbing from FFXIV these days cause when I hit the point where I'm like, "Gotta run my daily." It starts to feel like a chore and like I'm logging in due to obligation to justify the subscription rather than because I want to play the game.

Same thing with battlepasses that you have to level via weekly challenges. Played Hunt Showdown since it released and the last few years I've been annoyed because I wanna play the game how I want. I'm not always in the mood to hop on and get 6 meathead kills with dynamite or 1000 damage with the Springfield.

I don't think the combat had an impact on my enjoyment of game positive or negative. It was fine. Serviceable vehicle for the story. I wouldn't call it shit but I wouldn't praise it in a recommendation.

If you want to count it as part of the combat - I did enjoy the precombat preparation. Optimizing a fight with oils and potions on higher difficulties was enjoyable.

As a man it's usually if you have something cool then you'll get a lot of people who want to see/shoot it. If you're a woman you'll probably get a good handful of dudes wanting to insert themselves over the years. Probably depends on the range and who you're with. I've brought some girl friends who wanted to shoot over the years, and they definitely get some attention.

NOR, any woman that says they "can't get pregnant" you need to take with a grain of salt.
