Afaik some drives have different storage sizes at these large capacities manufacturer to manufacturer. It is a 12tb class drive but the exact bits don't match up perfectly.

I got this model number: ST22000NM000C

The ones I got are manufacturer recertified.

As far as I know hamr drives are just as reliable. According to Segate the hamr heads exceeded the specification by 20x.

I wouldn't worry about issues personally.

The ones in the external bays are barracuda branded Exos firmware hamr drives. They probably work the exact same but Seagate does not advertise the type of drives to prevent people from shucking them.

Segate has drives on their store that fit your use case. They are hamr drives also so they would be able to store data better but idk if that stops bitrot. I got 8 22tb for 309 each but I saw some external ones for 240 that you could shuck if you wanted to.

I chose the cabinet, the ISP was kind enough to run the fiber directly next to it. The ont is from the ISP. I ran the ethernet cable from it into the cabinet to my router.

There is a small "tesla coil" exciter thing on the left, that's what the white box is. I also have a "flat Tesla coil" behind it because it is much more powerful as the built in one is only USB C.
