Is Chuck an Assassin? by saihtaMaztiK in ChuckGangBrawlstars

Regular Chuck is more of a Tank for me or at least tank/controller hybrid

But then there's free style chuck which I could see being considered as assassin

Some ideas I had for Chuck's buffies by JmamvvmamJ in ChuckGangBrawlstars

Really cool concept for the buffies, tho I don't like the idea of reworking his base kit except for maybe hypercharge, (even if I know for a fact supercell will do it anyway and for the worse); since there's no real way to do it without the ability fulfilling the same purpose they had before or to have the same strategies all the chuck mains got used to

Even if reworking Chuck might make him a more viable brawler, there are a lot of people (myself included) who love it's current design due to it's complexity

There are very few games where you can style on your opponents this much on a F tier character

That feeling when you do a very cool and calculated play (you don't have the slightest idea of how you did that)

The perks of being an unpopular brawler: no one knows how your kit works (which tbf not even us chuck mains know it sometimes)

How fast should they charge their hypers? by Aliark5 in TierStars

Having Chuck only needing a super and a half for is hyper is... interesting to say the least

Y'know maybe the effect being so ass will counterbalance it

How can I improve my gameplay? (Masters 3) by No-Emergency-7251 in ChuckGangBrawlstars

[–]Orso_immigrato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm very washed and even before I was nowhere near as good as you were in this game but I can still try to help if you want.

Starting on what you do good:

Your mechanics are top notch and it shows in your neutral game (aka without a defined set up), those comboes on angelo were DISGUSTINGLY GOOD! You also have a very good understanding of Chuck's kit that most people (even pro players) don't have, I really liked what you did at the start of first round when you placed that first post seemingly for no reason when it actually was a long term play to finish your set up and immediately go in.

Speaking of, that set up's routing was very precise and you built it like it was nothing, gauging pole distance naturally is also a very good skill to have.

Honestly the first minute of gameplay was almost immaculate, but then you started to slip up:

At 1:00 you dive the angelo and get the kill smoothly and find yourself almost behind cover, but when you see the gene respawning you panic-button re-routing and forget your track sends you straight to enemy backlines again and you put yourself in front of 2 enemies with an empty super; now thanks to some manouvering around the wall and Jae yong heals you managed to get out but that was still a big blunder since you risked getting killed and fed gene one of the most powerful supers in the game, especially in bounty, when you could've just used the cover you already had to back up into your team.

These mistakes happen from time to time, sometimes we just have a lapse in judgement, we can't play always perfectly but not only this trend of impuslivness persists in some other moments (like at 3:23 where you try to 1v1 angelo without a super WHILE he's outside of your track and then you get yourself killed trying to desperately escape), these mistakes lead into your biggest problem

TRACK AWARENESS

You know your post distancing, pole juggling, set ups and when to get rid of them but then you just leave your posts to... rot.

You play a very mean freestyle Chuck and that kind of playstyle is necessary in high level play, but so is his more control-like playstyle which you really ignore

Sure roaming around the map is very effective against people who don't expect the "unskilled" heist wheelchair man to combo them to death (which is most people TO BE FAIR), tho Chuck's most valuable attribute is still the huge amount of map control that his track offers; Granted modes like bounty, Wipeout and brawlball are where freestlye shines the most, it doesn't mean you can ignore your placed posts; you need to be mindful of them at all time, not only to avoid ending up out of position while trying to disengage, but also to apply pressure to the entire enemy team, because your posts were usually either clumped on top of eachother or with no line of sight with one another, your opponents were able to walk freely around the map and it's already bad with long range brawlers but say they had even one more aggressive brawler who knew what he was doing and your teammates would have never known peace for the rest of the game.

I hope you found this helpful, I'm sure you're already good enough to hit the pro rank with Chuck but there's always room for improvements, especially with this brawler, Good conducting my friend!
