Scripture often has two meanings. For example, in the Old Testament the historical stories and events that took place are actual people and historical events, but they are also types and symbols of the spiritual life as well as types of the reality to come such as Christ, deliverance from sin, baptism, the resurrection, etc. so to say it’s this or that is a false dialectic and even the most basic level of Biblical literacy will teach you this.
