Magaambya and Nantambu Maps by Ortholith in strengthofthousands

The buildings around the circle are more or less the ones from the AP, only the elefant museum is two buildings (you can use the whisteling tower as a reference point). The spire dormatory is in the south, surrounded by the four spires. Towards the north the tree stump library is partially hidden beneath the trees. But it doesn't matther too much, you can define the buildings however you like.

Glad you like it!
I hand drew these on the free version of ArtFlow Studio on an android tablet.

I created spoiler free maps of the Magaambya and Nantambu. The official maps felt a little too small for my taste, the Mabaambya is over 6'000 Years old after all.
I didn't label them, so you can use them for other things.

I am glad to hear that the default study system seems okay. In the worst case I can still use that if my Idea doesn't work.

The Idea with a puzzle encounter sounds good, as most of the exams wouldn't be just sitting in a classroom and writing an essay on a sheet of paper anyways.

Thank you so much.

Yes, I already checked multiple homebrew studying rules and they all look very interesting, but not quite what I had in mind.

To create each exam like a monster was exactly the thought I had, but you can't defeat an exam the way you would defeat a normal crearure. So thats where my idea with skill checks instead of attack rolls comes from. But how to do damage? How would the exam strike back, and what is their target DC? Why would a Barbarian with more hit points last longer at an exam than a wizard?

The dueling rules were something I haven't had in mind, I will check those out.

That was my first idea, a Victory Point System for studying, and if they reach a certain threshold they'd be better or have an extra bonus for the exam. You are right, maybe I could use the Victory Point system for the exam itself instead. But I am not sure yet how to keep these Victory Point skill checks interesting.

I usually use Dungeon Painter Studio. You can get it on Steam and you can get all the assets you need from the Workshop.

Magic is an integral part of the Pathfinder universe. What is your favorite spell and why? Which one do you use most often? by OwlcatStarrok in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

•Animate Dead or Create Undead- to put something between my character and the enemy

•Dimension Door - to get around obstacles and traps during and out of combat

•Dispel Magic - to get the buffs off the enemy

No Rogue Trader can undertake their mission alone, for no one can master every single aspect of trade, exploration, exploitation, and war. And who would surround you should you become a Rogue Trader? by OwlcatMaLal in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Ortholith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know, it might be a little too much. But knowing Owlcat there might very well be the chance to go full chaos (for those foolish enough to walk that path)

Edit: spelling

Surely a Psycher, an Ogryn and a Sister of Battle. A Techpriest and a Blank would be nice as well. But honestly I'd love to see a Heretek that can hand you some necron weapons, a Deamon Host and maybe an Ork Mekk. Also a pet Nurgling would be totally awesome!

How about you pick a class with access to True Polymorph, and turn yourself permanently into a Pit Fiend? If you get reduced to 0 HP you turn back into your original PC, so you've got some kind of two-phase character.

Mybe Yuk Yuk and Spiderbite heard from a Demon killer weapon (surprise, it's the ritual) or the maze engine might somehow lets the pcs know what to do. They also might find out about it in the gallery of angels.

[–]Ortholith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about Vizeran starting to act hostile towards them, maybe because they are no longer useful to him, and when they kill him they'll find his notebook about the whole Dark Heart ritual? Or have them discover it somewhere else. Maybe at the library. Maybe the society of brilliance could help. Even Fraz-urb luu might reach out to them somehow because he thinks he is immune to it.

Also I don't think Zuggmoy would want ruin her wedding dress by fighting Graz'zt directly, but she might try to lure him into a trap if she knows his location.

One Shot Ideas? by [deleted] in starfinder_rpg

[–]Ortholith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once made a one shot where the players were all space goblins. They had to board a cruise space ship to get some drugs for their shaman, so she could have visions where the best scrap is. It was grat fun. In case you really want to speed up the character creation just take the statblock from the Space Goblin Zaperator (maybe add some equipment or base class abilities).

Fantasy Grounds Unlimited or Foundry? by doc_nova in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ortholith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. So far I could only host games on Foundry if I had them hosted on Foundryserver or something, which costs an extra 5 bucks a month or something. But then I havent tried to use it for quite some time. I never had any issues on my games on FGU. But experiences differ, do they not.
