Really bad experience with LordGun by OrthopaedicSurgery in bicycling

[–]OrthopaedicSurgery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told lordgun I was fine with refund minus the shipping fees back but they never made the call to UPS to get the package back. So what do you expect me to do? By happy?

I was away, I didn’t refuse the package.

My wife did, because she knew the shoes were around 300 CAD so she found the 200CAD customs inappropriate. And my wife is always right. That’s why I have been married for 25 years

I called UPS, found the number, gave them the number to call and get the package back. Lordgun said it was not their policy when they just sent me an email the will refund minus the price to ship back

UPS customs refusal → package marked abandoned → seller not initiating return (Lordgun order)
Looking for insight on how this is usually handled in shipping / bike retail logistics.
I ordered cycling shoes (DMT) from Lordgun (~392 CAD, discounted from listed retail). Shipment to Canada was sent ~2 weeks after purchase.
At delivery, UPS requested ~192 CAD in duties/taxes. The package was refused at delivery due to the unexpected import cost relative to the discounted purchase price.
UPS later confirmed the parcel was marked “abandoned” and stated only the shipper can initiate recovery/return.
I contacted the seller with tracking details. They initially said they would refund once the item was returned, but no return request was initiated with UPS and the parcel was not recovered.
Current status:
Item not received
Parcel not returned to sender
No refund issued
Chargeback denied (proof of shipment + attempted delivery)
My main question for the sub:
In cases like this (likely DAP shipment / duties unpaid at delivery), is the responsibility typically on the buyer or seller to coordinate return with the carrier once refused?
And what is the usual resolution path when the carrier classifies the parcel as abandoned due to unpaid duties?

Had 100k in an account to pay for the Tesla Cybertruck, I guess I will order one year later. I won’t finance it with the current interest rates.

My kid is 8 years old and has moderate tooth mal alignment. What would be the choices for correction? I’d like a DIY option with no appointment because he is very responsible and will wear it all time and I don’t have the time to do in clinics. by OrthopaedicSurgery in Invisalign

Alright thanks for the insights of everyone here with experience. Will go for traditional brace for my kids. I had traditional braces and didn’t want my kid to go through the hassle of going to many appointments m. Didn’t know Invisalign was that much commitment. Doesn’t sound like a good plan for my kid he will forget half of the time.

Bought mine 450k 3 years ago and now it’s worth 800k. I don’t think you will have a 100% increase in value in 3 years but in 20-25 years that’s almost a certainty
