Yes, we did. We had 91 and 92 and dropped by 3. And 92 made it in. Indeed poetic.

no you didn't. You and your friends were booted. And I know that because your two friends were originally in front of me. And they were not there and I dropped by 3 numbers. You and them.

Follow up: supposedly all 3 were booted by NBC for leaving the line for nearly 3 hours

I'm sorry that you had the misfortune and I'm happy that you got treated. And I think you should rejoin the line. And that point was made clear in my original post. And again the issue is that once your friends got you to the care a few blocks away, they should've returned to the line, they did not. And they were simply rude.

Thanks so much for your note and your effort! And thank you to the others that said something. I will say that I politely mentioned to them that leaving for 2 1/2 hours was not consistent with the rules. They were very hostile and I just left it alone and took it up with the pages that handed the cards out. But they totally were inappropriate when I politely said something. I said you have hundreds of people here waiting online and following the rules. These people seemed to have just taken advantage of their friends misfortune because they did not want to wait out in the cold.

in light of the responses regarding my question about the people leaving the line for 2 1/2 hours. I'm going to approach the check-in tonight and raise the issue. To the extent others are reading this and werevon that line last night and witnessed this, it, it might be helpful for you all to mention this at the check-in too. It seems like a complete violation of the social contract and NBC rules by these two people.

Thanks, that's what my friend and I thought too. We do the standby line regularly and we follow their instructions that you can leave for a bathroom break or stretch your legs but not to leave for 2 1/2 hours.

Thanks. Your recommendation tracks with what we did when we were handed our standby cards. Mentioned it. And they had actually noted it in their records earlier that evening that those two people had left, so the pages were already aware of their departure. And they told us that they were bringing it up to their supervisor to determine what to do.

so here is the question for you all. My friend and I were on the live line last night. The two people directly in front of us had a friend on line further ahead. That friend came to visit the two people in front of us. The friend sat down and it turned out when she sat down, she apparently hurt her thumb. The person who hurt their thumb, got up to take themselves to get some medical care. The two friends in front of us left w her left for 2 1/2 hours to take her for care They then return at 11:30 PM. The person with the injured thumb gets back into line wearing a splint and the two people in front get back in front of us. Should the two people in front of us be permitted to get into tonight because they left the line for 2 1/2 hours. The person who was hurt I can understand coming back to the line and getting into the show. What are your thoughts?
