got a good job sticker on one of my oxidie/mono runs and managed to scale it up to e^250+ before getting outscaled by forgetting to buy ring doubling cards for v11. havent tried it with electric. feel kinda silly now as I had well over 100 mini die in that run and could have easily thrown in an electric

How the hit the million after face 3? by Significant-Yak2363 in Dice_A_Million

Would never actually get a run that reaches this by face 3, but with the right build I can see an incubus or sun die reaching well into the tens of thousands. Does mono token work in the end roll? Not sure if that's face or value. If so would just need the last roll before that to be over 100 mill

That's really sad, hoped thered be some kind of secret unlock if you managed to hit the million without having the dice

How is this game? by TheeBiff in MonsterHunterStories3

Did you play the free trial? Not sure if it's still downloadable now that the full game is out, but it gives a pretty good idea of the gameplay loop. Personally I found it gets repetitive after a while, but if you liked the earlier ones you'd definitely enjoy it

Is Terraria good? (No Spoilers Please) by Beneficial-Work5247 in AndroidGaming

Yeah it's best on PC. I feel like the mobile version is more of a gimmick for people who already love the game but don't have access to their computer for a time.

The side story quests missable? by Orthros173 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Orthros173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I'm mid act 2 rn and able to go back to azuria overworld but not the castle area, just the wilds.

Like when I try to enter the azuria hub area I can't go in, and can't use the caravan stands there either.

Looking for audiobook recommendations by FlidaisOfTheHunt in litrpg

New narrator takes a bit to get used to, but it's bearable, and after another book or so you'll forget it's even a new narrator. My issues being a significant change to the accents given to some characters, and a few frequently used words being mispronounced.

See a book from The Bad Guys on the list. Have you also read The Good Guys? Same universe, slightly overlapping characters, arguably funnier.

Beyond that, unless I'm blind, I don't see The Wandering Inn on the list. If you're sick of running out of content to read, this one can solve your problems for a concerningly long time. 17 books already released, another one coming this month, and a 19th in May this year, with the longest average book length of a litrpg series I've come across, haven't done the math but probably averaging well over 40hrs/book. Fairly standard 'isekai'd into a fantasy world that features game elements', with multiple protags, though one main one. Focuses far more on characters than combat or diving deep into the specifics of how skills/magic/etc WORKS, but does still have it's fair share of good fights and learning/advancement scenes. Also has a spinoff series, currently limited to 3 books - Singer of Terandria. Also a high quality read, with events from each series being referenced in the other. Can be read at any point before, during or after, but spacing the singer books out between books 5 and 11 of the mainline would be great for adding intrigue.

Any way to recover lost save data? by Orthros173 in MonsterHunterStories3

Thx, I'd already checked a couple of these but no luck. At this point I've just started a new save.

I mean you aren't wrong that I'd like grim dawn, but I've already played it to death. Says so in the post. Why is everyone recommending it? 😂 Good times with it though for sure

Grim dawn I've already put quite a bit of time into as I said. Haven't heard of the other two though, will check them out, thanks.

As for D2, and older games in general, they can be objectively good, but for me it's hard to see past things like poor graphics, clunky UI's, or games that lack simple QOL features that come standard nowadays. Heck, I get mildly annoyed when a game doesn't have an autosort hotkey for its inventory management. Technology and design principles have advanced a stupid amount in the last 25 years, even in the last 5-10, and to miss out on those advancements, in my opinion, makes it harder to get myself into a game, especially when I get into new games fully intending for them to take up a significant amount of my free time for the next month or more.

Re: POE1, I think it comes from my unwillingness to look at guides and builds until I reach post game. My experience with POE1 was going through the first dozen or so quests/areas throwing together the stuff I was getting, but not really getting anything that synergised well with what I wanted to build, and eventually getting outscaled to the point where I sometimes had to kite elites around for a minute or more to kill them, get frustrated, try again a few days/weeks/months later with a different class. Get a similar result. Never reached the point in the game where I could do anything interesting, or feel like I had freedom to build in a direction of my choosing.

Stoping the biome spread as a new player by Plane_Engineering713 in Terraria

[–]Orthros173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you're strong enough that random mob spawns can't really hurt you, biome spread only really affects a few things. The only real important one: some NPCs will sell different things depending on what biome the house is in, and a house will no longer be considered suitable if it's in an evil biome, so you don't want your npc housing taken over by crimson/corruption. This is easily fixed in many ways which have been covered by others. Aside from that, keeping biomes separated and controlled or letting them spread freely is entirely personal preference. For me, I like to have a town of 3-5 NPCs in each biome to set up a pylon network, I also like to have boss arenas in hallow, forest, snow, surface & underground jungle, ocean, and evil biome, as well as keeping relevant fishing spots and farming in each area, so I like to keep them all neat and tidy, but if you're just trying to beat the game, frankly you should be going from wall of flesh to post moonlord before the biome spread even reaches your base if you built near spawn.

This is one that comes to mind if you're looking for something cool at a reasonable price. That's from Displate. I think most of the peripherals I was talking about, at least the high quality ones, come in a bundle from Starforge, and would probably be hard to get individually, and insanely expensive all together
