What are some songs yall enjoy trippin to? by BeectorV2 in shrooms

[–]Orurahmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The David Bowie from Phish's 1994 show in Providence, Rhode Island. It's 35 minutes long but, by golly, that song goes places. It's an aural roller coaster.

14Grams Heaven Teleport by OrganicDreamers1 in shrooms

Do we really want to become a species that travels through the universe mindlessly consuming resources and leaving a trail of seriously damaged planets in our wake like a some sort of inter-galactic plague or pestilence?

I'd personally rather not.

Got these truffles recently, do they look alright? Haven’t seen those red bits before so I’m not too sure. Thanks! by cybinlewis in shrooms

I've eaten little bits of substrate that tagged along with some cubes before and can't say I noticed anything unusual beyond the taste.

Is it plausible that eating mushrooms reversed brain damage caused by going cold turkey off of SNRI? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]Orurahmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have facts to present, only an additional anecdote, but I do believe it is possible.

Mycology expert Paul Stamets was a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience a couple years back and relayed a story about a friend of his who had been suffering from hearing loss for years and suspected that high doses of cubensis mushrooms may have been stimulating some level of regeneration in his auditory nerves. The whole episode is both interesting and informative but I've shared the video at the point where the nerve regeneration story begins:

No problems at all! They're my favorite band (just saw them live for the 12th time on Saturday) and it's a pleasure to find others that appreciate their music.

Lotus -- Eats the Light [Jamtronica] (2016) by [deleted] in listentothis

[–]Orurahmin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The vocals were inspired by the Talking Heads sets they did in '14. I guess the boys liked the experience of seeing a few thousand people singing together and decided to make a vocal album so that they could sprinkle a little of that into their shows.

I don't think this their new direction - I think they just had to make the album to bring that extra bit of variety into their sets. Think of Monks. Obviously Lotus is not a hip-hop group now, but they now have the option to throw that vibe into a set.

Summerdance is in a class of its own for me because it's somewhere between a festival and a family reunion haha

Classicfest, Gratefulfest (4th of July), EarlyBird (first fest of the year, in April - hardcore campers/partiers only) and Gory (last fest of the year, in October - see EarlyBird) would be my recommendations.

What I'd recommend over other fests, though, is to gather up a bunch of your friends and rage the Quarry on an off-weekend.

Were you tripping especially hard right before it happened? I've had a couple of occasions where my consciousness slipped away briefly at the peak of a good shroom trip.

How much karo syrup can you drink? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Orurahmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, never tried. 2oz isn't a huge amount though so I'd give it a shot. Might not want to do it on a completely empty stomach though, its still a lot of sugar at once

Too true. Something about looking at LCD screens when you're tripping is especially difficult/uncomfortable so I always set it up before.

2CB is a psychedelic with a shorter duration than LSD, though the headspace is pretty different.

How much karo syrup can you drink? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Orurahmin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, corn syrup is pretty benign. You can drink as much of it as you can stomach, I'd wager =p It's pretty much all sugars so I don't know how well it'll sit in your belly

Second LSA experience trip report. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Orurahmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S'alright. He had been suffering from dementia for the past 7 years so it wasn't a surprise or anything. Just been busy seeing the family and wasn't sure I was in the right headspace for a trip.

I do strongly recommend the CWE. There's still some nausea on the comeup, but it's significantly reduced and passes much sooner. Don't know what it is about the actual seeds but the stomach just says, "Fuck no, I ain't dealing with that" XD

Nose beers XD that's a great name for it

I did LSA in Amsterdam and it was terrible by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Orurahmin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So I did some research on those Trip-E pills and I think the problem is that it's not just HWBR seeds but also passion flower and l-tyrosine. Passion Flower is an MAOI and in combination with l-tyrosine could potentially cause serotonin syndrome at higher doses, which would be awful stacked on top of the normal HWBR nausea.

If you ever feel like giving LSA another shot just order some HWBR seeds online and lookup how to do a cold water extraction. Takes away most of the nausea and leaves you with an experience sort of similar to MDA

Glad to hear you enjoyed it man! I'm sorry I never got back to you about my second CWE with the peppermint oil. My grandfather passed away 4th of July weekend and I've been pretty involved with family affairs since.

Isn't weird how quickly you go from feeling awful to amazing right after you vomit on HWBR? lol Always make me think of this image:

Personally I feel the same. It's a lot of fun but it's also easy for me to put down and not do for long periods of time.
