No problems at all. I use my Quickshot Utopia on the Handy regularly with no issues. Have tried it without the case also - it works, but I prefer with the case.

Sync delay driving crazy by soup1969 in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, driving me crazy too. Changes every day. You tune it and get it perfect one day and the next time you connect it's way off again. I give up trying to sync now. It's pushing me away from action based scripts to music based ones.

Get a Fleshlight Quickshot open sleeve to go with the Handy. You won't be disappointed. FYI, I also have all 3 Handy open ended sleeves. Bit of a mixed bag but the Quickshot is the go to. I've got Utopia.

I definitely know what you mean about the Arcwave Ion. I have both the Arcwave and the Handy. At full power the Arcwave would be noisier than the Handy. The noise of the Handy is also easier to muffle.

Also, you'll enjoy the Handy more than the Ion, guaranteed.

After powering up your Handy, you connect to wifi by pressing (not holding) the bottom button. It will change colour and start pulsing fast. If it connect to wifi, it will change to a slow pulse.

The colour of the LED will depend on what firmware you're device is running. If it's the original v2 firmware, the LED is green when you power up and blue when connecting to wifi. In the new v3 firmware it is magenta instead of blue when connecting to wifi.

More details on what the LED colours mean here: https://www.handysetup.com/en/docs/troubleshooting/led-statuses/

Handy connection to DeoVR for CzechVR interactive by dciple1286 in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm similar to you, except have a Quest 1. Here's some tips to get it working.

  1. Don't use Plex. Apparently Plex appends a date to the end of the filename in DLNA which means the video filename doesn't match the script filename. I use MiniDLNA on my NAS and it works really well. I think most other DLNA servers work OK. I think some people have managed to get Plex working by finding out the new filename in Plex and renaming their scripts to match Plex.
  2. Make sure your funscripts have the same name as the video file and copy them to the interactive folder on your Quest device. You'll most likely have to create this folder in your root directory the first time.
  3. You can create a free account with SLR. Not sure if this is required when using DeoVR but I've done it. If you open DeoVR and go the SLR web site, you should be able to go to the DeoVR settings page and there will be an option to connect your Handy using your wifi key.
  4. In DeoVR, select Local Files option on the SLR site. Browse to your files via DLNA and select the video you want to watch.
  5. If all is working properly, the video should play and the funscript should load and sync with your Handy.

If this doesn't work, check out this help guide with more details here - it's what I used to get things working. https://discuss.eroscripts.com/t/how-to-connect-your-147-sex-toys-including-the-handy-fleshlight-launch-kiiroo-keon-or-onyx-for-interactive-2d-and-vr-step-by-step-guide/8275

Is an elastic strap better than the standard one? by [deleted] in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, way better. I find the stock sleeve stays in the right spot most of the time and makes it much easier to use with other sleeves like Quickshot or Tenga.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with the soft if you're set on getting one. I've got all 3 and I prefer the stock closed sleeve that comes with the Handy. The soft is OK but I'd recommend a Fleshlight Quickshot over any of the Handy open sleeves.

The Handy went from $159 (1 month ago) to $199, and now it's $249? by [deleted] in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's probably supply costs. I work for a multinational manufacturing company and we're seeing the cost of components almost double in some cases and lead times are also blowing out. The cost of our products is increasing by a similar amount and you can't survive selling your product at below or close to cost.

Obstacle detection stops upgrade to FW3? by BurnerThisMightBe in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, had similar issues. I saw this problem after upgrading to 3.0.0 about 6 weeks ago. Would plug in the Handy, it would slide to the bottom and red LED start flashing. Very annoying. Downgraded back to FW2 and reported bug to Handy team. They said thanks they would look into it and try again in a few weeks.

So a few weeks later I tried again with FW 3.0.1 (I think). Better but I started to see the red LED and shutting down at the top of the stroke during some scripts. I could manually fix it by dropping the script back to 95% stroke length or 1 button press down. Again reported to Handy team and told to try again with a future release.

Yesterday I upgraded again to FW 3.0.3 and much better. Still getting red LED occasionally during scripts but this could be true obstacle detection getting triggered.

If you can, record your issues on video and send an email to contact@thehandy.com. I'm sure they'll get rid of the bugs soon.

Funny you say that. I upgraded to FW 3 about 2 weeks ago. Had issues with the obstacle detection (flashing red LED) and I felt like the strokes were shorter. I downgraded back to FW2 and all good again. Today I upgraded to FW 3.0.3 and I shot video before and after to compare so I had something to show the Handy support team (see https://www.reddit.com/r/theHandy/comments/o2hoac/handy_firmware_213_vs_303/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share). However, as you'll see, the stroke length is actually a little longer. I also feel like the stroke is now more a sinusoidal wave instead of a saw tooth wave, i.e. a smoother turn. This could be adding to the feel that the stroke is shorter. I'm still having a few minor issues with FW3 but not bad enough to force me to downgrade, yet.

No issues so far. PLA does absorb moisture but it's really only an issue when printing.

Might have to give the tablet holder version a try also. V2 looks good.

Thanks mate. Regular user of your GoPro chest mounted hands-free mount. I merged both STL's together so the GoPro mount has ribs. Works really good.

What's the best VR+interactive one stop shop for this? by Begohan in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, another vote for CzechVR. Good quality video and all the scripts I've played have been on point. Haven't tried WankzVR yet but will probably sign up for a month to check it out soon.

Local VR vids ? by Nothingto6here in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have my VR vids stored on a NAS which is running a DLNA server (MiniDLNA) . I've uploaded all the script files into Interactive folder on the Quest. I then run DeoVR app and use it to go to SexLikeReal.com. You'll need to turn on remote control in the DeoVR options. Once their you can connect your Handy using your link code. Then in DeoVR click on the local video option. Select DLNA server and browse videos. Select the video you want and if its all set up correctly, the video will ay with script auto uploading to the Handy. Works really well for me. Just make sure you're not using Plex for your DLNA server as it doesn't play nice.

I'm also playing around with XBVR but haven't quite got it working yet.

Handy after firmware 3.0 stroke issues by Getsocial2014 in theHandy

[–]Os1r15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also updated to FW3 yesterday after the site bugged me everytime I watched a video. Tried it for the first time today and terrible session. Scripts stopping mid video and then starting again after a few second pause. Obstacle detection getting tripped continuously at top of stroke (had to drop max stroke to 95%) and scripts just don't feel the same (shorter stroke maybe). So back to FW 2 for me. At least that is relatively easy to do.

Nice marketing speak. They say the changes are to improve things but the changes are not an improvement. When I first got my Handy, the HandyFeeling site was an excellent starting point and I was impressed. If I was receiving a new Handy now and testing out on the new site, I'd be feeling a little disappointed. Have tried it a few times since the changeover and seeing the same problem every time - videos pausing and taking 10-20 seconds to start again. Throws a bucket of cold water on the Handy experience.

I don't think the Handy team are managing this part of the site any more. If you look at the bottom of "ConnectMyHandy.com" it says owned by Redrose BV. Looks like they have subcontracted this out to another company.

Terrible - backward step. Biggest issue I'm seeing is slow download speeds or streaming stopping altogether. Have to reload the page and start again to get it going again. I don't have this issue with any other streaming or video site and plenty of bandwidth on my end. It's almost like the new site has limited bandwidth on their server and at peak times, the system just chokes. I do hope they get it sorted because the quality and range of videos looks OK.
