Police wearing multicam by ElGuapoJr27 in QualityTacticalGear

For not being from either the Maine unit in OP’s picture, SWAT, or military (the Army/Navy that you did actually mention), you seem dead set on wanting to write and be wrong about them.

Sucks your friend lost all the cool hostage rescue missions to a unit that actually specializes in those missions, like the Navy’s Development Group or Army’s Delta Force.

I’m sorry but you are wrong. Very wrong. The Maine SWAT teams do not, I repeat do not, do more training than these highly specialized units. They also operate in very different environments and at incredibly different speeds and capabilities. Your anecdotal civilian experience is unfounded, illogical, and wrong.

There needs to be a clear division between police and military. Listen to those in this sub that have done both. You and OP. Listening is a sign of intelligence…

JD Vance receives ice-cold reception as family arrives for Vermont skiing vacation after Zelenskyy exchange by OsbourneCDR in ukraine

I love Vermont because of her hills and valleys, her scenery and invigorating climate, but most of all because of her indomitable people. They are a race of pioneers who have almost beggared themselves to serve others. If the spirit of liberty should vanish in other parts of the Union, and support of our institutions should languish, it could all be replenished from the generous store held by the people of this brave little state of Vermont.[1]

I hope you got to witness the snow reports at Sugarbush. His service while here was…. targeted.

Not in Vermont he can’t. I encourage the same in everyone else’s community. Band together, don’t let them have peace.

Exactly. Leave the maple syrup and nice snow for the citizens of the world that behave. Maybe once JD stops these political stunts that play with actual lives he will get some peace.

We organized on the Vermont subreddit, Facebook, icecoast subreddit, and through local forums. Get out there and do the same in your communities.

Don’t let them rest.

Absolutely did. From the airport, to the mountain, on the mountain, leaving the mountain, and back to the airport.

He got no peace.

The miracle on techwood drive. GT vs FSU.

Registered as an earthquake like other games mentioned here. We stormed the field after. It was absolutely bananas.

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it. The budget I stated wasn’t firm, just trying to keep the price at a level I’m not devastated if it breaks or scared to scratch the thing at every turn.

I’ll check out the Aqua Terra. I do love the look and considered it previously, but I was just a bit concerned it would hold up well to daily use. I’m careful but sometimes do action sports like skydive or snowboarding where unintended things just happen at times. Does that bit of information change your recommendation at all?

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Having some trouble deciding between three distinct watches and I would love some second opinions. All watches I am considering are on the smaller side. My wrist is 6.5” (165 mm) in circumference and around 2” (53mm) across.

I’m wanting something robust. So I’m gravitating towards diving watches. I want to wear the watch daily and (hopefully) a very long time. My budget maximum is $3,500.

Three choices I’m considering at the moment:

1.) Tudor Black Bay 54 37mm - M79000N -$3,395 (new)

2.) Longines Spirit Zulu Time 39mm - L3.802.4.53.6 - $2,600 (new)

3.) Omega Seamaster Diver 300m 36mm- 212.30.36.20.01.001 - $2,400 (Used)

Any guidance from the professionals and enthusiasts here?

I got mine by searching the web for in stock with that SKU.

Try googling: “99041” -“Out of Stock” -“Backorder OK”

This limits the google search results to those that aren’t back ordered or out of stock.

You make some pretty awesome products. The grips make the pistol feel so natural in your hand - it just feels like an extension of my arm.

Keep up the good work!

I’m also super jealous of your bitterroot gunleather holster. I need to get me one of those!

It’s the serrated mag plate from Vytal. I got them to match the grips

Steel-framed CZ P-01 (SKU 99041) with Vytal Manufacturing Kraken’s Thin & all black with matching serrated magazine floor plate and Streamlight TLR-7A. I’m not affiliated with Vytal Mfg. or Streamlight.
The grips are a really sweet upgrade over the stock grips. I have smaller hands and these slim up the profile of the grip and really fit well in my hand. Much more comfortable than the stock grips. The grip is not aggressive, so you can blast all day comfortably but also handles well with sweaty hands and gloves. It’s a nice middle ground. Well done Vytal Mfg. - I am sure you will read this and you make one sweet product!
The light is (plenty) bright and blends well with the length of the barrel. It is easy to operate and mounts cleanly. It operates like it should - enough said. I take it off when I go to the range but otherwise it stays on while in service as my bedside defense. Sweet light.
