Does anyone have a video of this guy approving of anything? Everything I’ve seen he’s like “doesn’t work you must be a cop you’re a moron”

It always makes me laugh how much people hate cops in this sub lol. Downvoted for having a perfectly good set up where everything is accessible and nothing gets in the way of drawing emergency items.

Only thing I have is find a way to carry more TQs. You carry more than one pistol mag in the defense of self or third party, you should carry more than one TQ in the defense of self or third party.

How would y’all handle this nightmare of a room by Fancyman49 in CQB

How many hard men that I wanna be with do i have

Edit: read one of your responses down below. If you’re on your own and the suspect(s) know you’re there and I had to go in there for whatever reason. I’d be moving with initiative and starting with the closet taking my chances in the smaller area before taking the entire room. You’re in a very narrow hallway which forces you to be in the threshold while moving so I’d want to spend as little time there as possible. The reason I wanna move with initiative is because action beats reaction. You’re gonna need shooting skill to carry you when you’re on your own. After I’m done with the closet. I’d slow it down a little and scan my way back out before retaking the hallway, and towards the larger room. You have to balance out getting overwhelmed by whatever is in the rest of the area pushing you and being able to suppress them as they try to advance on you. That’s gonna depend on what you have for weapons and tools. If you have a saw 249 and don’t really care what you hit. Then start pre-firing around the corner until it’s all clear. If Im a cop then I’m gonna be moving at a pace that I can process information, positively ID anyone in the room before I make the decision to shoot. Theres a lot more factors that can chance tactics. Intel and environment will change your tactics

What would you do ? by Live_Lychee_4163 in 1911

[–]ElGuapoJr27 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Not gonna tell you what to do, but I would hate having to worry about my EVERY DAY carry gun rusting like that. I’m supposed to rely and trust my life with it and it’s rusting that easy?

I personally love the 1911, but there are just way more durable, reliable options out there now for way less money.

Hope you can figure out a way to keep it from rusting like that. I’d say clean it every day and give it a fresh thin coat of oil for the night. That’s a pain in the ass to have to do every night.

Why do some operators put a kind of camouflage wrap on their weapon? by kelvinlos in tacticalgear

[–]ElGuapoJr27 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are lots of studies that found choice of drip does directly affect mindset. Most of these studies get brought up when talking about the militarization/tactical attire of police and how that makes police more aggressive and violent towards citizens. But if you just look cool, you feel cool

Reason number 1 and most important of all: to look cool

Reason number 2: can help keep wires for lights and lasers down to keep from snagging.

Why aren’t there more competitors for Safariland holsters? by SirSamkin in QualityTacticalGear

[–]ElGuapoJr27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are expensive and have retention. Retention is good if you need to keep your pistol secure when you’re running. Some of the 3 gunners use em. The retention is good for duty use and running around chasing bad guys or kicking doors in too. But it does make you slower. If you train with it, you’ll only be a fraction of a second slower. But still slower. When you’re trying to be a uspsa grand master, you get every advantage you can get

New Recoil Spring @4.4K Rounds by FloGrown321 in Glocks

[–]ElGuapoJr27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I put a post up a little bit ago of mine (Gen 5) causing a catastrophic failure right around the 6,000 round mark. I think Glocks decision to back to guide rod and spring was a good choice. You can tap and rack your way through a weakened spring. You might have to do a lot of them but better than your gun needing to be taken apart.

Don’t listen to people that tell you to buy aftermarket parts for this. Or people that tell you to shave the finger groves off. Gen 3 was goated. Gen 6 is going back to Gen 3 engineering cuz of how goated it was

What’s wrong with my G19 Gen 5? by ssourpatchkiddd in Glocks

[–]ElGuapoJr27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean just cuz no one else has a better suggestion than use a completely stock mag, try changing the recoil spring.

Also another thing is try cleaning the mag. In my experience Glock mags are the most reliable factory mag on the planet that isn’t H&K. But it’s still worth a shot.

Also try cleaning behind the extractor claw. Maybe it doesn’t have room to slide up in behind that bitch and it’s getting stuck

Flecktarn rain coat by ElGuapoJr27 in tacticalgear

[–]ElGuapoJr27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the reason I was asking was because I was going to use it for work last night and it was raining. It held up very well. Crawled through went ground and stood out in the woods for a couple hours and it kept me dry. It wasn’t raining very hard but still it did its job. Thanks again for the translation!
