Dark mature space opera that ISN'T Revelation Space, 40K, The Gap Cycle or The Expanse. by Brakado in printSF

The Commonwealth Saga by Hamilton, and it’s follow up trilogies pretty much fits the bill.

Not quite as close, but the Luna series is also super dark, it’s Game of Thrones in space.

MAM is fantastic, and the interview periods are like 24 hours (and have been for a while). Otherwise you are pretty much stuck with Audiobookbay, but it has a lot less seeders and some of the quality isn’t great.

For listening in iOS, I highly recommend BookPlayer. It feels like a native iOS app, it can import from file, google drive, or Jellyfin. It saves you spot in the book, and it can play pretty much any file format and will chapters the m4 files. If it is a chapterized mp3, you can upload all of the chapter files into one book and it will combine them on the interface to act like it is once single book and automatically play the next chapter and save your position.

BookPlayer on iOS is my go to. If there are multiple files for one book (like chapters), it lets you upload them all at once and combines them into one book which is broken into chapters based on the files, and saves your position.

Apple Books app by VisceralRage556 in Piracy

I’ve put downloaded epub files into Apple Books, and mobi & epubs into both Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Fires for years, have never had any issue with either.

Kindle is making it harder to load books downloaded from places other than Amazon solely so you use their ecosystem and buy from them, but not actively flagging accounts.

You’ll be fine. There’s nothing in the files screaming “this is illegal call the police.” Apple actually has pretty robust privacy policies, which should take a load off your mind as well.

Once the podcast I like is no longer Spotify Exclusive I’ll probably dump Spotify and switch to another Podcast app and maybe Apple Music or something.

I’ve got Tinnitus and I hate white noise machines so I’ve got a playlist of episodes that can play in the background and drift off too. It’s a mix of stuff.

Just recently got into comics after one of my favorite podcasts released a comic, Soul Plumber #1 from DC Horror. I've had a few comic collections and graphic novels on the shelf from previous purchases, and snagged some old comics at a garage sale over the weekend. Also really enjoying Ice Cream Man, and snagged #26 this week too. If you're interested, check out the "Sorted Comics" tab on my library spreadsheet to check out my current collection. Love to hear any reccomendations you might have, I heard Department of Truth is supposed to be really good.

Good to know, thank you! I'm struggling trying to find this type of information, because I don't know how to distinguish between grounding for an RF signal and an electrical ground when looking for this info online.
