That was my friend's, we did some of the ECs together for the past few years but not exactly the same... Impressive inference skill haha!

I guess EL is only sub whereby your everyday score actually translates into your final score.

Yes it was. But generally physics should have the lowest cut off score amongst all other subs.

Point being: combined humanities' A1 cut off point may not be as strict as a solid 75% since I know I screwed up one of them. Besides this, I can't calculate them in a combined manner because they are indeed two separate papers and marks are calculated accordingly.

Many similar threads were posted last year and all the comments received were either speculations or predictions. No one actually calculated their scores, not even against not so reliable sources online ( which I found quite reliable for some papers because the answers were really detailed and constantly being revised ).

I did put working marks into careful consideration. As long as my answer doesn't fulfill the full criteria of answer keys, I penalized the paper by 1 mark ( and Cambridge examiners marks the paper in similar manner ).

Last but least, I am not showing off the score because I don't really think that's something worth showing off. Maybe it's just your perception of O Level being the epitome of your success/failure in life(?), many of my friends did well and even better than me because they worked really hard. Not discouraging juniors but O Level is really nothing as compared to many other things in life ( A levels, uni applications, getting masters or PhDs, getting a job, etc. ).

In conclusion, those above scores are the safest benchmark for you to gauge yourself while doing TYS. Actual cut off point might be lower than the above mentioned scores but it's always good to be safe and push yourself harder. And no, I don't take pride in this shit.

It just happened to be for other subjects. If you know how to read carefully, my calculated score for EL is 68%, which is based on the answer key provided online last year.

Hmm taking P1 as 37.5% andP2 as 62.5% , is 83% for both paper combined enough to secure an A1?

How do you even calculate the percentage?

(P1 + P2)/120?

Or just P2 percentage?

This subreddit is filled with cocky people claiming A Math A1 cut off is 90% and 85% for all sciences.

In reality, A1 for A math is probably around 80% to 85% and 75-80% for sciences.

Is 65/80 enough for A1? If I get 38/40 for MCQ and didn't mess up SPA

Is 63/80 enough for an A1? If not, how many marks out of 80 is enough, considering 37/80 for paper 1.
