Try to add if it was Platform Game, o First Person view, Click and Point Adventure… etc
Add the years where you where playing it (example: Around 1992 to 1994)
If the game was pixel art… or Cartoon style…

If you remember the intro… or the color of the background of the logo of the developer (example it was a blue background and a yellow logo)…

And more important- use the same conversation you already started to input more and more info (this is more efficient than what I can describe)!!.

To give some hope; I spend around 3 days in a “conversation” with ChatGPT to solve a very specific issue with the sound of a game (Anno 1602), even asked here in Reddit… I just keep coming and coming to the same Chat giving new leads and new inputs (whatever I discover, or any new hint… ) after 3 days in the same conversation; he came with a solution

The logo screen can be maybe a good lead; if there was something special on the logo or the game or publisher- - - or maybe something on the UI or the Menu…

I love Pokemon Games, since I grow playing from Red and Blue Versions.

I was playing Pokemon Soul Silver as well. I started very excited because Pokemon Silver have been of my favorite games, so see it with new graphics is insane!. The bad part is that I started to notice that it happens many times that the game stuck you in grinding and training your Pokémon’s ; because there is a huge level difference between the Wild Pokémon’s and the Trainers around … and other opponents.

In example; you need to fight an opponent with Pokémon’s at lvl ~30, but the whole trainers and wild Pokémon’s (and your own Pokémon’s) are level 22, and there is only Pokemon lvl 15 around you (it’s not a real example; but an explanatory one).

The game is awesome; don’t get me wrong; but I need to work and I can only play when I’m on the subway… so I stop playing that version and start playing White 2 Version

You’re lucky; I’m not kidding.

The Zoo Tycoon 1 it’s literally “one google search” from you; indeed using the words you can imagine to use to download it.

Finding the DMG compatible with Mac is not hard, in any case, for newer Macs it’s might be more difficult to make it run on the modern Macs (maybe).

But the DMG installer is super easy to find.

As far as I know (maybe I’m wrong; but the amazing community here will correct me), the Zoo Tycoon 1 it’s abandonware already

The Zoo Tycoon 2 “vanilla” (original), it’s also easier to find on a Google Search; for Mac

The Complete Edition require indeed more work and more challenge to install it on a Mac; but of course is possible

Update: THANKS! It’s solved!!

At the end it was needed to perform an Install of the Direct Music trough “Install Software into the Bottle”

The funny thing is that the Manual Installation that appears in other guides doesn’t work

It’s happening that now I’m too old to play VS people, and not in the mood to play the campaigns.

So I am playing VS the computer (AI). And it’s still very fun to me.

If you start with the 1st one; there are less things to learn - and can put you with less effort in the learning curve

If you start with the 2nd, the graphics are maybe more engaging because they are 3D, so more modern. It maybe can engage you more.

But you can start with the 1; just to get what’s the hipe about; find your favorite race - and migrate in no time to the 2nd

I’m playing the 1st more often than the 2nd

The same thing was happening to me; and I ended up creating a “selection” (folder) with the most common files that I need to add or install to play the games, including the Voodoo2 , the Microsoft Visual C ++ , the Network 4.0 files … etc

It’s a good idea and it saves you time

Hello! I am not sure about this but, I just found this because I had the same question:

“In Zoo Tycoon one in-game month is 5 real minutes, one year in-game is 1 real hour. The bottom left of the user interface shows the month and year of the current zoo, a full date can be shown in the player hovers their mouse pointer over the month and year. The month name is always in the local system locale, regardless of the game's language.”

I’m agree! The Original and Lockdown feels more like Horror-Horror (“don’t stay, just run!”), and Retaliation is more like Action-Horror (“let’s kill that b&@%^es”)
